I remember when I was 18 and drove a big old cavalier back in the nineties, I got into town and the only space to park was a pretty tight one on the street. A bloke in his thirties saw me stop to reverse into the space, and he stopped to watch me fuck it up, with his arms folded and a ‘this will be funny’ look on his face. I managed to reverse park perfectly into the very tight space, first time, and his jaw literally dropped. I got out of the car and he actually came over and congratulated me on a brilliant bit of parking 🤣. Amazing that having a vagina and being able to park aren’t mutually exclusive 🙄.

On the flip side of that, I was staying in Thailand about 10 years ago and hired a car to get around the island. Every time I got back to the resort if it was dark, the security guy would run over with a torch and stand at the back of the space I was reversing into, to illuminate my path. He didn’t appear to speak any English so there was no point in explaining that A) cars had reversing lights and B) I’d somehow managed to park at night without assistance for the last 17 years 🤣

He was probably looking for a tip? (a monetary one, not being told to fuck off)

I love men! My husband is the best person on earth, followed closely by my adult son and daughter and her fabulous husband and child. I had a great deal of fun with several other glorious men prior to said beloved husband., it must be said. I’m frequently getting into hot water on the feminism posts.

What I can’t bear, though, are silly old (usually, before ageism is levelled at me: I’m knocking 60 myself) sods who can’t seem to prevent themselves from leaping into a parking space 3ft behind you as you reverse in and waving their arms about. My car has built in sensors and it just makes it automatically brake. They’re a PITA.

I almost ran over a bloke. It was sooooo close.

He basically tapped the back of my car as I reversing, my car is old so no beepers, so
I'm pretty good at judging.

When you hear a big bang on your rear wing it makes you jump and I slipped on the peddle and almost took the twat out.

After telling him to piss off I checked and I had loads of bloody room as I had thought, what possessed him to hit my car while I was reversing, god only knows.

Really? You’re joking? Since when? It was one of the basics you had to master before your test when I took mine, along with reversing round corners, both of which you had to demonstrate.
