How hideous are these trainers really, in your opinion?

My partner isn't normally the least bit concerned about what I wear but really truly despises these trainers, will ask me not to wear them, says they're hideous!🤣
I don't think they're so bad? I'm not really someone who wears trainers unless I'm at the gym but I do occasionally put these on to just nip to the shop or such. DP is seriously offended by them!

They're just trainers, not special, not hideous.

Trainers are absolutely awful.

The leather look leggings are a pretty normal piece of clothing currently not sure why posters are losing their mind over them.
Most of the Instagram pages dedicated to 'current fashion' at the moment have leather leggings/trousers feature regularly.

Not a colour I'd choose but they're just normal trainers. I think they're fine, or would be after a wash! Maybe tell him to buy you some new ones if he hates these so much?

I think they generally look a bit crap on 95% of people. A bit Grease try-hard and Kat Slater vibes.

I'm not crazy about the red and orange colour. Red with black or something but not keen on orange in general. The pants they have on with it don't really do any favours as they'd be better with a chunky heel or dm type boot. So for me it's a no, but I wouldn't exactly be actively repulsed if I saw someone wearing it. I guess if they were good/comfy for exercise then for the gym/ running would be OK?

I wouldn't wear them, but there trainers does it really matter what they look like. I personally would have a much bigger issue with the trousers

It's the seams for me, they're just out there doing totally different things on each leg, they look badly made.

This. I wear bright trainers to exercise and then have black or white ones for wearing with non-exercise stuff.

How weird! Nothing more comfy than trainers.

Not something I would wear but not something that I would be embarrassed to been seen out with someone wearing! Tell your partner to get over it!

I don't object to the trainers at all, and if DH tried to tell me what to wear or not wear, he'd get short shrift.

Awful but in saying that I couldn’t care less what my husband thought. I’d wear them as earrings to really offend him.

That's as may be but clearly there is more than just me who doesn't agree with you....

The trousers are hideous but trainers are fine

@flame it's blue and pale blue or white stripey socks as far as I can see! Leather look troursers or skinny legging things hard as haven't seen them in full but plenty of others saying trousers too.

IMO the trousers/sock/trainer combo does not work together

Christ it’s the trousers that are the problem. They don’t go with the trainers AT ALL.

Current fashion doesnt mean that something looks good.

Whether they feature on ticktock or whatever it is, doesnt mean its a benchmark of style

From the side they look far worse! Why are they so dirty? I’d wear them to walk the dog or do the gardening but wouldn’t combine filthy red and orange trainers with black plastic trousers. Oh and throw on some blue stripey socks for good measure.

I think they're fine but don't go with the trousers. The trousers look more "dressy" and the trainers are casual, I'd only wear trainers like that with jeans or joggers.

Side view makes them look even worse! They are filthy!
