How hideous are these trainers really, in your opinion?

My partner isn't normally the least bit concerned about what I wear but really truly despises these trainers, will ask me not to wear them, says they're hideous!🤣
I don't think they're so bad? I'm not really someone who wears trainers unless I'm at the gym but I do occasionally put these on to just nip to the shop or such. DP is seriously offended by them!

Yes I'd never wear them for anything other than casually but I don't usually anyway. I like quite gaudy, bright things.

I'm intrigued about them not going with the trousers as they're black? But must be the style. I'd usually wear these trousers with heels to go out somewhere in fairness I just thew them on this morning.

Could do with a better picture as in from the side. But yes they are pretty awful and scruffy and not helped by blue socks or leather trousers. 😂🫣

Edit: Now seen the side view. These trainers really need to go in the bin.

i think the trousers, the socks and the trainers is quite a wacky combo- as my dear mum would say you look like a wee chookie (not a compliment- means you look a bit like a Wally)

Um. I am with your H here, especially with the shiny trousers.

I know we are not supposed to ever criticise our partner's taste, after all, we hope to remain being to theirs. But, if someone persists in wearing something that you find unappealing, off-putting or unflattering, we should all be able to politely and kindly point it out.

I think you should bin them. They are not nice.

Sorry, having seen the side view I'm going to have to change my answer. They're not fine at all. Maybe ok for clearing out houses or gardening, but not really anything else. Plus I'm seeing bacon now too...

He's obviously one of those who are set off by the colour red - the old saying 'like a red rag to a bull'. You could, I suppose, paint them a more subtle dark blue or green or black.

They are fit for the bin

They could do with a wash😆 But other than that, they're just trainers. They certainly wouldn't draw my attention as being anything unusual.

Sorry OP I think they are pretty ugly, and they look worse with the stripy socks and pleather leggings.

If this is real, they'd be great if they were clean.

Get to work with a toothbrush, and soapy bleachy water. Even my litter picking trainers aren't that dirty.

They'd be better after a clean and they definitely don't go with stripy blue socks. However if someone passed me in the street wearing such a combo I wouldn't blink twice
