It's l'Orangerie by Saltworks Perfumery

I shall be taking no further questions at this difficult time

That mint and tea tree oil needs a public health warning slapped across it. I let out a howl that was barely human.

My son, mid twenties, is sitting next to me and I have laughed myself into hiccups over this thread and can’t tell him why because I can’t get the words out without laughing again.

Wait.... people perfume their pubes? Well there's a Ph nightmare waiting to happen

Vegemiteandhoneyontoast · 06/02/2024 12:44

A while back I pulled a muscle in my groin and rubbed on some Tiger Balm Ultra Strength. While it did take the pain off, the counter-irritation also made me feel like I'd wet myself. Not good!

susiedaisy1912 · 06/02/2024 12:45

🤣🤣

Windydaysandwetnights · 06/02/2024 12:48

Your minge has been tango-ed....

listsandbudgets · 06/02/2024 12:49

Thank you for the valuable advice OP.

In exchange may I advise you never to brush your teeth in the dark ESPECIALLY when someone has left a tube of deep heat rub next to the Colgate

Yeah, she ended up with a lemony snicket.

I'll show myself out.

I have questions though.

A bit like the time, in desperation, I dabbed clove oil on some genital herpes blisters, hoping it would have the same numbing effect it does on toothache.
I can confidently confirm it does not.

But you must have smelt so festive, you basically mulled your vulva.

whatthedickens5 · 06/02/2024 12:59

You have my sympathies. After birthing my son prematurely in a town we were visiting 3 hours from home (so not prepared at all) I sent husband out to buy some toiletries. He came back with a basket of mint and tee tree stuff. Now we were stressed out with a poorly prem baby, in unfamiliar surroundings, sleep deprived and I suffered complications (incl tear) so i wasnt exactly compus mentis. Grabbed basket and had shower 😫Thats when my day got a whole lot worse! Not only was everything on fire but it caused contact dermatitis with blisters. Ten times worst than birthing a baby (without any pain relief due to urgency)!! I still cry in pain thinking of it 😭

@FetchezLaVache

Yeah, she ended up with a lemony snicket.

😂🤣 👏🏻 👏🏻 !

MrsMoastyToasty · 06/02/2024 13:04

Do not use Pledge furniture polish in your armpits...

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 06/02/2024 13:04

When I was a teenager, I got thrush and my mum advised me to slather my foof with zinc and castor oil cream. I trusted her, so I did it, and it lit up my foof like a flame thrower. And it is such viscous cream that it took me bloody ages to wipe and wash it off. Thanks mum.

Frogsareflyinginfromthewest · 06/02/2024 13:07

@LenaLamont surely a pubic health warning is more appropriate 😂

Bristolnewcomer · 06/02/2024 13:18

I wonder if men have a different reaction to that mint and tea tree poison?! 🧐 I too have used it once and never again when staying over at now-DH’s house. Refreshing isn’t the word.

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 06/02/2024 13:23

Apart from minge perfuming, what are Saltworks like? I'm tempted but hate their aggressive marketing

bakedpotatoforlunch · 06/02/2024 13:23

And just to echo someone who posted upthread the reassurance I feel that the possession of pubes - perfumed or otherwise - is still it seems the norm for lots of us in these confusing times!😅

ChocolateCinderToffee · 06/02/2024 13:26

I thought every teenager in the world tried this by spraying their first deodorant spray on their fanjo? I know I did.

Once is enough. I think it's the alcohol rather than the scent.

BananaPyjamaLlama · 06/02/2024 13:27

YABVU. You should never have considered this as an option!

JFDIYOLO · 06/02/2024 13:30

@bakedpotatoforlunch I've had the Saltworks original and the Fresh discovery sets and really enjoyed them! Just a few that weren't my sort of thing - I've learned I don't like heavily woody, spicy or oud based scents and prefer floral, citrus, vanilla. I bought three travel sizes from them, the notorious L'Orangerie , Tabac Soleil and Neroliander.

I also like Sana Jardin - they do a discovery set too.

Doesn't everyone want an Orange Gina?

bakedpotatoforlunch · 06/02/2024 13:35

@Bristolnewcomer I'm assured - at least in our house - mint and tea tree extract shower gel has exactly the same er, lasting impact, upon men. Comments have been made and conversations have been had. It no longer features on any shopping list.

Who does use it I wonder? Somebody presumably as it still sells..

Thanks @JFDIYOLO They sound lovely. Something to consider for my next birthday list!

Scalottia · 06/02/2024 13:35

Totes hilair OP 🙄

Why the fuck would you even do this? Sometimes I feel as though I live on a different planet than some MN posters.

HectorPlasm · 06/02/2024 13:44

Tee tree oil and mint on men?

If you've seen that scene in 'The Green Male', the aftermath is like that
