To ask what you have eaten today? (lighthearted)

I love reading/ hearing about what people have eaten for some reason!
I like telling people what I have eaten too but often they think I'm weird, haha.

So, would you share what you had today and if it was good or bad? (Taste wise, not judging the health benefits)

Mine so far was...
Half a pack of cadbury mini eggs (omg sooo good! will finish them after dinner!)
4 quorn mini eggs (there's a theme here for some reason!)
3 x tea with 2 sugars and milk (twining english breakfast)- my new fave. PG have changed the recipe the bastards!
2 glasses white wine (yummm)
2 satsumas, one with too many pips (why everything is round shaped today?)
& and going to have quiche lorraine with potatoes and salad...(not my fave but my my nice fish is in the freezer and the quiche will go off tomorrow).

Come and share your day's meals with me : )
Or, think I am a weirdo for asking such things? ; /

Breakfast - made the BBC good food recipe pancakes for me and DS1. We had them with strawberries, bananas, Nutella and golden syrup. Not sure how many I ate but the recipe said served four 😂

Lunch - I was going to make a cream cheese and bacon sesame seed bagel but I burnt the bagel I was making for DS2s lunch so I just ate that with some cream cheese and made him another. Also had a Sainsbury’s jam doughnut.

Dinner - was late as DP and DS2 were at football so shared a packet of skips with DS2 (he’s only 1) still hungry so had a butter butty whilst making tea which was stir fry. It had chicken, broccoli, mushrooms and red peppers. A slightly adapted Jon Watts recipe. I prefer it with rice but DS1 been mithering for noodles for about a fortnight so noodles it was.

Saturday night is DS1s late night and we always watch a film and have some snacks which we pick up from Sainsbury’s after his swimming lesson - today we got a bar of mini egg chocolate and some haribos. We’ll be sharing them when I can get my lazy arse out of bed and downstairs.

WiddlinDiddlin · 27/01/2024 20:18

Nowt until 4pm (no one here to make it, still no kitchen)..

Vegan sushi (inari sushi, cucumber maki)
half a small cream palmier pastry (yum but too much, not actually that small just not the 'size of your face' ones DP normally gets)..

Tea tea tea. fizzy water.

Unsurprisingly BG through the roof and I feel sick and like I may fall asleep at any second which is a bummer as I've another hour and 3/4 left at work.

Throughout the evening: An entire bottle of Cava 🎉

Today:

Breakfast: Porridge with salt and a drizzle of golden syrup

Lunch: Sardines on granary toast

Dinner: Cheese omelette with a baby spinach salad, followed by a slice of mincemeat and almond tart with a scoop of vanilla ice cream

Throughout the day: Nine cups of tea, but it’s only 8.45pm now so I’ll probably have at least one more yet

VinegarTrio · 27/01/2024 21:35

Cold beef and radishes sounds like a perfectly reasonable breakfast.

Better than the 3 cups of coffee and the crusts of my toddler’s toast that often starts my day. 🤣

A yogurt and an apple for breakfast. Nice enough

A wrap with teriyaki chicken, coleslaw and cheese. Delicious

A slice of coffee and walnut cake (from Dobbies garden centre cafe) and a diet coke. Delicious.

Chicken and ham pie (so good) and garlic crushed baby potatoes. Also so good.

The mini egg chocolate bar (yes a whole one) and some salt and vinegar lentil crisps. Really good.

Quite alot of food but it's a Saturday and was an active day lol.
