I love reading/ hearing about what people have eaten for some reason!
I like telling people what I have eaten too but often they think I'm weird, haha.

So, would you share what you had today and if it was good or bad? (Taste wise, not judging the health benefits)

Mine so far was...
Half a pack of cadbury mini eggs (omg sooo good! will finish them after dinner!)
4 quorn mini eggs (there's a theme here for some reason!)
3 x tea with 2 sugars and milk (twining english breakfast)- my new fave. PG have changed the recipe the bastards!
2 glasses white wine (yummm)
2 satsumas, one with too many pips (why everything is round shaped today?)
& and going to have quiche lorraine with potatoes and salad...(not my fave but my my nice fish is in the freezer and the quiche will go off tomorrow).

Come and share your day's meals with me : )
Or, think I am a weirdo for asking such things? ; /

DarkRipePlum · 24/02/2024 14:40

Today is my ‘relaxed eating’ day.

Started with third of a tin of beans on toast and a beef sausage. Lunch was a bowl of crisps and a slice of carrot cake. Dinner will be Thai curry (homemade).

BouleDeSuif · 24/02/2024 15:57

Ended up having lunch in a cafe and had jacket potato with cheese, beans and salad, very nice. I need to add some Bournville and the icing off a shortbread biscuit because the child doesn't like icing. (I don't know where I went wrong.)
Have I left it too late to make mousse for tonight??

WiddlinDiddlin · 24/02/2024 20:07

Another day, another set of poor choices:

Woke up late, did NOT feel like work. Sent the boy out for:

Halloumi bagel with chilli jam, rocket and onion - is it normal that the roof of your mouth hurts and goes a bit lumpy? It went away fairly quickly. Hmm.

Turned out the bagel wasn't really a bagel but a bagel shaped brioche bun. Ho hum. Tasty though.

Waitrose millionaires shortbread.

BG sensor yelled at me.. too high. Insulin.

FF many hours. BG sensor yelled at me. Too low.

Soreen mini loaves x two. BG silent.

And now its now and I've no idea what I want for dinner.

One I did earlier and retrieved from the freezer Vegetable and cheese pasta bake with plum tomatoes, mushrooms and smoked sausage. I found some beef in the freezer too so that's tomorrow sorted. It's just about empty now.

BobbyBiscuits · 24/02/2024 21:43

Some lovely input in the last couple of days. We should do a recipe book, lol!

I actually ate something reasonable yesterday, A whole packet of crevettes (the prawns)
Taking the shells off is so annoying but the shelled prawns have no taste, lol?
Bunch of asparagus (cooked for 1 min)
Several chanetney(sp?) carrots ( raw, cut up) Yum, so sweeeet!
Load of watercress
Home made caesar dressing
Grated parmasan..

OMG wish I could eat that again.

Today was a bacon roll
1 x tea, milk, 2 sugs
some pistachio kufi icecream
3 glasses white wine
too many cadbury mini eggs (the pack is nearly finished now so I can finally stop!)

Gonna have a lamb Jamaican patty.

Happy eating folks! This thread makes me smile : )

I’m disabled and live alone, so often due to my pain my meals tend to be quick, lazy and not very nutritious.

for reference I’m vegan (for the animals not for health before people complain about my diet)

  • an olive sourdough roll with vegan bacon (can’t forget bbq sauce)
  • sweet and sour ‘chicken’ ready meal
  • a coconut protein bar
  • some dairy free chocolates leftover from my birthday
Scirocco · 24/02/2024 22:12

Fruit and veg smoothie for breakfast.
Cheese toastie for lunch with salad.
Potato, paneer and egg curry (veg hidden in the sauce) for dinner.
Can't decide yet between granola and berries with yoghurt, or a cupcake for a late-evening snack. I know which one I should pick, but...

Scirocco · 24/02/2024 22:14

@orangeleopard does vegan bacon taste like bacon-bacon, or more like turkey bacon? I saw it in the supermarket the other day and was curious, but I don't like the taste of bacon-bacon...

FinallyFeb · 24/02/2024 22:16

No breakfast

L- toasted cheese, pickle and tomato sandwich and a slice of jam on toast

large hot chocolate out (haven’t had one out for so long)

D-went out for dinner and shared an antipasto board with my DH. Then Seabass, rice, vegetables with a lovely tomato and black olive sauce. Brownie, vanilla ice cream and two glasses of Prosecco.

Lots of cups of decaf tea.

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 24/02/2024 22:23

Toast with butter and marmalade

Sea bass with grilled veg

Chocolate filled croissant and some squares of Milka chocolate

Sweet potato with cherry tomatoes and cheese

Many cups of tea, some sparkling water, glass of sangria

BobbyBiscuits · 24/02/2024 23:05

@orangeleopard No-one on here should or would complain about your diet, that's not what this thread is about!
Hope you are coping OK. I take pain meds too for my hip/ osteo...it does affect your motivation a lot. I used to cook so much.
Regular bacon, vegan bacon, as long as there's bacon we have some hope! : )

BobbyBiscuits · 24/02/2024 23:09

@ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea Ooh, marmalade. I actually really fancy that now! Haven't had it for years.
Adore seabass, it's so easy to eat, so nice and clean tasting. Love sweet potato too, another one I should reprise in my regime. Baked with a bit of dried chilli and olive oil, oooh yeah!
