Is it me or is Amanda Holden a total narcissist? (I know that word gets thrown around a lot on here but I think she absolutely is one). What kind of mother wants to be centre of attention at her DD’s 18th Birthday bash? Confused
Poor Lexi.

So aibu?

Amanda Holden stuns in sequin co-ord at daughter Lexi's 18th birthday

The radio presenter, 52, pulled out all the stops to celebrate her eldest child's milestone birthday.

Both mine have had 18th birthday parties in the last couple of years, and neither time did I attend! I'm trying to imagine their faces if I started shimmying across the dancefloor. Almost tempted to do it to find out what would happen...

🤣🤣🤣

Agree. Utter narcissist! How embarrassing. Her poor daughter... Sad

ScribblingPixie · 23/01/2024 13:55

The party was for birthday girl, parents, grandparents, other family and friends of family and godparents according to AH's posts. I bet they had a blast. I wonder how many people writing on here have such a close, happy family where all the generations have fun together? I know I don't. Well done them.

TheaBrandt · 23/01/2024 13:59

My teen girls love a celeb so I reckon the average teen would be pretty pleased if AH were her mum that she was at her party. She’s hardly embarrassing. My two speak positively about famous older women. Sadly for them I am not famous!

You should see what us Jewish people are like - teenage parties consist of every great Aunty, loosely connected acquaintance and all their extended families, and every neighbour within a 3 mile radius and I’m yet to meet an (outwardly) embarrassed teen, they just accept it’s part and parcel of the celebration

ScribblingPixie · 23/01/2024 14:08

That sounds lovely, KarenNotAKaren. They're the parties you remember most fondly when you get older, I'm sure.

@Ramalangadingdong

You are talking about 2 very different things.

Many people never commented on how she looked. I certainly didn't. She is very slim, she works in an industry where how she looks is pivotal, she earns well and can choose to have whatever beauty treatments or Botox if she chooses.

My job doesn't depend on that, and I don't mix in those circles. Presumably most of us don't.

Dds best friend is Jewish and loving that the prioritising of family and having them at parties is rubbing off on her too. She goes to parties at theirs and all the family are there having fun she really likes it it’s not ”embarrassing”.
