Is it me or is Amanda Holden a total narcissist? (I know that word gets thrown around a lot on here but I think she absolutely is one). What kind of mother wants to be centre of attention at her DD’s 18th Birthday bash? Confused

Do you not remember all the press in 2002? I had never even heard of her before. All of a sudden everyone knew who she was.

Also she had been in Kiss me Kate and the Grimleys (loves that show!) and I think maybe the hairdresser show, during her marriage to LD. she wasn’t sitting around doing nothing until she divorced him.

OK that's a fair point that I know nothing about their marriage. It did seem a fairly insensitive dumping at the time, and although I was no particular fan of his either (not a fan, not a non fan, just not part of that world) - I felt she came across as very unkind.

But maybe he was a shit husband and deserved it. Who knows. Yes - I probably shouldn't judge.

But ever since she has still seemed to be a very annoying nobody with little talent and someone who's just got by on being pretty (not the first to do that, I know) - so these awful photos upstaging her DD on her birthday came as no surprise. I am entitled to my opinion - and I'm sure she's laughing all the the way to the bank so won't give a stuff......

The affair with NM was in 2000. I am talking post-BB. She was everywhere. And she ran with it. Good for her!

I agree good for her. I bloody loved that hairdressing show - Cutting It? IIRC the salon was called Blade Runner 🤣

To me, the boost was after Dennis was on CBB2 in late 2002. That was when I got to know her and when her fame kicked off (in my world).

Well Kiss Me Kate and the Grimleys was definitely before 2002 and Cutting It would have been filmed before then and was televised that year. She was definitely up and coming whilst still married to Dennis.

I literally came to say almost the exact same, her career was going really well (stage and telly) then she had that affair and got treated like a child murderer for it. Then they tried to make a go of it after the affair, didn't work and she got ripped apart all over again.

Ad a side note I met AH years ago as part of a work thing. She was awful, very rude and had a really irritating laugh. She was demanding and dismissive of anyone who wasn’t famous- very Beggy

I disagree. I think Amanda is absolutely stunning and I hope I look that good at 52! I'm only 38 and she looks better than I do 😂
