To wonder what happened to Janet and is she ok?

Trying to keep this concise and sort of lighthearted as it's weirding me out.

DH friend Dave was/is married to Janet. He met up with Dave for gigs etc as they have a shared music interest. Janet also went to gigs with them as did her best friend, Sally. I met Janet and Sally quite a few times and all very friendly.

Six months ago Dave and Janet suddenly split up due to his excessive drinking, apparently. He's now sober and came around last night, and introduced Sally as his girlfriend! We had a pleasant enough evening but I just wanted to ask 'where is Janet? Are you still friends with her Sally? Was this an affair? Does she know?

I know it's none of my business and DH doesn't know anything but it's like Janet never existed and that her and Sally were never bestfriends. Sally was talking away quite happily about their plans and future and they're moving in together, but no mention of Janet.

It's makes me want to shout JANET and see if she metaphorically appears.

She did exist as I met her!

Am I losing it? Is this weird? Should I ask?

Of course I hope she's okay (and still exists) but also loving the Good Place reference 😁

Accidentally call Sally, ‘Janet’ then wait for a reaction. It won’t tell you much but will make great entertainment.

Follow up by asking ‘ how is Janet these days? Haven’t seen her in ages!’

Trump all of you with friend who died in RTA and her best friend literally stood with the DH at funeral and comforted his kids and a month later left her own DH and kids (same age) and moved in with him. Now married. Definitely raised a few eyebrows!

Invites issued for a family wedding. Bride’s parents are organising the wedding, having been given a list of names and addresses for invitees on both sides.

Groom’s Auntie Pam and Uncle Roy are invited.

Auntie Pam returns the invitation card having crossed out Uncle Roy’s name and written in that of Jim.

Reminds me many years ago, knew someone who got married to a woman who had previously been engaged and had a wedding booked. Wedding was called off. Bride found New Groom, the guy I knew, and carried on with the original wedding arrangements and venue, just with a change of groom. Wonder if they are still married?!
