To think it's tragic if Michael Jackson was indeed innocent

It's a real shame for someone who created incredible music to have their legacy at risk. It’s just tragic, considering the impact his music had on so many. It's tragic either way, if he's guilty for the victims and if he's innocent for himself.

I'm a huge fan and at one point t thought he was guilty but kore recently change of heart. I think there would be more victims if he weee in fact guilty. Somethings doesnt add up.

It's tragic

Corey Feldman reckons Jacko was a scapegoat to take the lens off other high profile men (Clinton, Branson, Prince Andrew all in the news today). Not saying I believe that…

He’s also said he believe Jackson’s victims

clappity · 09/01/2024 11:54

But these others were all found guilty. MJ wasn't. His accusers were also all unreliable for various reasons. They were all lacking credibility. Just because Harris and Glitter were guilty it doesn't mean MJ was.

Saville was never found guilty

What does UK libel law say about this?

Anyone know?

Ridiculous comment

Ridiculous comment

I genuinely don't know.

Almostwelsh · 09/01/2024 12:48

There's no evidence that Jackson had his puberty blocked like a previous poster wondered. His natural voice was masculine and deep, the childlike voice was an affectation. On stage he often sang in falsetto, which lots of male singers can do.

Almostwelsh · 09/01/2024 12:49

As for libel laws in England, they don't apply if a person is dead.

alltootired · 09/01/2024 12:49

I really really hope those excusing MJs actions do not do the same in real life. If you do your children are not safe.

This is from Vanity Fair:

1. There is no dispute that, at age 34, Michael Jackson slept more than 30 nights in a row in the same bed with 13-year-old Jordie Chandler at the boy’s house with Chandler’s mother present. He also slept in the same bed with Jordie Chandler at Chandler’s father’s house. The parents were divorced.
2. So far, five boys Michael Jackson shared beds with have accused him of abuse: Jordie Chandler, Jason Francia, Gavin Arvizo, Wade Robson, and Jimmy Safechuck. Jackson had the same nickname for Chandler and Arvizo: “Rubba.” He called Robson “Little One” and Safechuck “Applehead.”
3. Jackson paid $25 million to settle the Chandlers’ lawsuit, with $18 million going to Jordie, $2.5 million to each of the parents, and the rest to lawyers. Jackson said he paid that sum to avoid something “long and drawn out.” Francia also received $2.4 million from Jackson.
4. Michael Jackson suffered from the skin discoloration disease vitiligo. Jordie Chandler drew a picture of the markings on the underside of Jackson’s penis. His drawings were sealed in an envelope. A few months later, investigators photographed Jackson’s genitalia. The photographs matched Chandler’s drawings.
5. The hallway leading to Jackson’s bedroom was a serious security zone covered by video and wired for sound so that the steps of anyone approaching would make ding-dong sounds.
6. Jackson had an extensive collection of adult erotic material he kept in a suitcase next to his bed, including S&M bondage photos and a study of naked boys. Forensic experts with experience in the Secret Service found the fingerprints of boys alongside Jackson’s on the same pages. Jackson also had bondage sculptures of women with ball gags in their mouths on his desk, in full view of the boys who slept there.
7. According to the Neverland staff interviewed by the Santa Barbara authorities, no one ever saw or knew of a woman spending the night with Michael Jackson, including his two spouses, Debbie Rowe or Lisa Marie Presley. Rowe, the mother of two of Jackson’s children, made it clear to the Santa Barbara authorities that she never had sex with Jackson.
8. The parents of boys Jackson shared beds with were courted assiduously and given myriad expensive gifts. Wade Robson’s mother testified in the 2005 trial that she funneled wages through Jackson’s company and was given a permanent resident visa. Jimmy Safechuck’s parents got a house. Jordie Chandler’s mother got a diamond bracelet.
9. Two of the fathers of those who have accused Jackson, Jordie Chandler and Wade Robson, committed suicide. Both were estranged from their sons at the time.
10. In a 2002 documentary, Living with Michael Jackson, Jackson told Martin Bashirthere was nothing wrong with sharing his bed with boys.

Actually, the drawing jordie provided did not match Jacksons genitalia. He said Jackson was circumcised when the autopsy report showed he actually wasn't. Yes, Jackson suffered from vitiligo, however, Jordan described him as being dark with light spots when actually it was the other way around...

It's interesting to note Jordan was jewish on his father's side. He himself would have been circumcised... an uncircumcised penis would definitely have stood out to him as different, he would have been able to spot that.

Almostwelsh · 09/01/2024 12:51

@StillStuckInTheShed an uncircumcised penis and a circumcised one can look very similar if you see them erect...

Sadly there are many parents who are happy to put their kids in dangerous situations for cash. Greed and stupidity, feeling like you know someone because you know them as a celebrity

I couldn't agree more. The parents are even more guilty for delivering their children to him. So caught up in wanting to be near fame it's horrible. Can you imagine dropping your child off for a sleepover with a grown man! I don't care if he was "childlike". He openly bragged about loving to share his bed with his little friends.

lemonjuicer · 09/01/2024 13:01

I’m a huge huge fan of his music. At the same time I would rather take an acid bath than let him (if he was alive) anywhere near my sons.

Wolfpa · 09/01/2024 13:02

it is a tragic story, if he wasn’t exploited by his parents and family so much would he have started touching little boys?

everyone is a victim here but he definitely did it.

Nope.

They still look different.

  • Appearance: An uncircumcised penis looks different from a circumcised one, both when flaccid and erect.

Even so, its still wrong on the account he got the colouring wrong.

MJ presented a childlike persona and his soft spoken voice was a part of this but it was not his true voice. There were times his true, deep, manly, spoken voice slipped, you can see examples on You tube if you search on there

Ive just done this and you’re right. His “real” voice was much more masculine. Why would he pretend to have child-like voice? 🤔

To make himself non threatening and childlike so he could get nearer children.

Urghhhh 🤢

Whoa. There is no suggestion either of his parents were paedophiles and there is no evidence that a difficult or exploitative childhood makes you a paedphile. Yes sexual abuse can make the victim turn abuser, but there is no suggestion Jackson was abused in this manner. Being a paedophile was not his parents fault.

pregahes · 09/01/2024 07:30

I will say something odd that's stuck out to me to say he is possibly guilty is the fact that there does seem to be a trend, no female accusers and so I find it weird all the boys he 'befriended' were all handsome/very cute, that strikes as odd to me. If they were purely friends then by coincidence they would have looked a variety of ways surely?

Adult men don't have 'friends' who are pubescent boys. You seem to have missed this obvious red flag for abuse in your point here.

Mirabai · 09/01/2024 13:09

I think it’s utterly disgraceful that the US has not had its Savile moment on MJ and I hope it comes soon, but I don’t hold my breath.

Unfortunately there is more money invested in MJ than there were was in Savile. His fortune bank rolls the entire Jackson family and Sony bought MJ’s half share of his back catalogue for 3/4 billion in 2016.

Sony, ultimately were responsible for funding the recent film “Square One” denigrating MJ’s accusers.

Well all the Jackson children were exploited by their parents - Latoya was sexually abused from the age of 11 - they managed not to turn into paedophiles.

I never said they were paedophiles I said he was exploited. He was not protected the way a child should have been.

Dwhat123 · 09/01/2024 13:17

If you had young kids, would you leave them with him, unattended, for any length of time?

Mariluisa · 09/01/2024 13:18

LadyBird1973 · 08/01/2024 22:05

We all saw him dangle that baby over the balcony in Paris. That alone should tell you that MJ should be nowhere near children!
To this day I don't know why social services didn't remove his kids.

This. We were sometimes sent to to stay with family in another country in the summer holiday. A younger uncle dangled my little sister over the edge of a ferry for the bants. It’s been etched in my memory forever

MJ was most definately exposed to things he should not have been at a young age, he talked in interviews about sharing hotel rooms with his older brothers who would bring back girls and have sex with them with him in the room.

Dissecting the why of it doesn't take away form the fact that as an adult he sexually abused children.

Also if you want to argue that he was innocent, why did he not change his behaviour around children to not get in trouble again? He publicly admitted to and defended sharing a bed with gavin arviso years after the chandler case.

Notts90 · 09/01/2024 13:30

It's quite concerning that some people don't see the glaringly obvious red flags with MJ and claim his innocence. Why? Because he could sing?

He was very clever. And a nonce.
