The nasties on here are obviously people who are very unhappy in life and like to take their frustrations out on others. They'd not be as brave face to face.

Have you ever seen the Instagram profile who exposes Tattle users … it’s HILARIOUS because every single exposed person looks exactly what I would expect them to look like and if I was a person being talked about on that site I would find it very difficult to be offended by people that rip others looks apart when they look like they do.

No one is allowed to mention that profile on tattle or they get banned - ironic isn’t it given their whole we have a right to talk about who we want stance. Even slagging off the way babies look ( I know they say they don’t ) but they do.

I know what you are alluding to. The crime stuff on Tattle or pretty much any discussion forum can be seriously doolally, yes. Trial threads / missing person threads that descend into such sadism and ghoulishness do get nixed here-- and that's the right call, I think. I wouldn't be surprised if people fantasising about how much pain victims were in did end up on some sort of watch list somewhere, tbh.

On your other threads about what i can only presume is an abusive husband and/or a very unhappy marriage where you say LTB has been the advice…. have posters been supportive and kind to you?

The Tattle threads I'm on are much more forgiving/accepting of differing views. Less pile on's too.

If your response to "people are being unkind to X" is "well, X is an attention seeker", then you aren't as removed from Tattle culture as you think you are.

I've seen that before! That's definitely an instant ban to mention.

When I joined a couple of years ago I was expecting it to live up to its reputation across other social media, but no I've found the users to be mostly decent and kind a with a strong sense of solidarity. Things don't go tits up as frequently as say, on here.
