Was I unreasonable to do this?

So..done my usual supermarket shop this evening and noticed the food/toy donation trolley looking a bit bare.

I paid for my shopping as usual, then went back round the aisles and picked out two toys worth around £10 each and put them in the bank (didn't pay)

Supermarkets make a huge profit and felt sad for families in hostels etc this Christmas!

It's not theft unless u leave the store! I have already said maybe it was wrong but putting some toys in the food bank ( might I add to the noodles and cheap dog food that were already in there) I just thought it was a nice thing to do 😊

I think it might be theft. You appropriated the rights over the good from their owner. The store. They own the items. You don’t own them until you pay for them.

So you can’t decide what happens with them.

Ha, alright, calm the fuck down, Robin Hood. Literally so embarrassed on your behalf.

If only! Really wish it was, you've obviously never known a child needing a tiny bit of happiness. I feel for you, I really do!

I love the self righteousness of your posts. You stole items, yet are judging others 🤣

I'd much rather see children with a massive smile on their face today

You seem to think you are a morally superior person because you stole “for the children.” You’re a bit deluded really.

Of course it it theft.

If someone is caught pocketing goods inside a store, it is still theft. If someone eats sandwiches and dumps the wrapper in the aisle, it is still theft.
