Mary Earps’ dress..

Worthy winner of the sports award, but her dress? No doubt high fashion but I thought it looked very unattractive and somewhat inappropriate. I’m aware see through fabrics etc are in vogue, but it looked to me like lingerie with a skirt falling down, so a sort of corset/thong affair.

I am certainly pleased she won. Mainly for her playing but but also for getting 'her Shirt' into circulation.
It was unnecessary for her to make a point of showing her underwear at a prestigious event; bad taste.

Oh dear, what a shame. I think she's excellent as a pundit and general presenter. She isn't going anywhere so will likely irritate you for all your life.

I agree she’s not that good. I bet the likes of Clare Balding and Gaby are a bit 🤨 at her meteoric rise while they have been grafting for decades. (To be fair, Lineker took a few years to get good at the punditry).

I've just googled the dress because I didn't watch the programme. Seriously wtf is all the fuss about? There's absolutely nothing wrong or inappropriate about her dress. She's got an amazing figure and she looked great. As others have said focus on her great achievements.

She's an incredible role model for girls, both on and off the pitch, and really deserved to win.

The pic on Front page of The Times is not a good one. She is not standing upright with squared shoulders, she needs more support from a bra than she is getting in that outfit.

She seems like a great sportswoman and a nice person, that's a horrible dress but so what really.

I couldn't give a damn what she chose to wear or whether you would deem it 'attractive' or not. She's a fucking brilliant goalkeeper and an absolute legend. She can wear what she wants. She doesn't exist to look pretty for you.

God some of these comments are vile. As another poster said, she's waking up to the expected misogynistic men folk slagging her off for winning and women slagging off what she was wearing. I very much doubt she gives a shit about either of those things because that's her personality but it's disgusting and unnecessary
