Big boobs

I'm five foot 3 size 12, I have massive boobs. I've been wearing a size 38FF lately. This is the only one that fits me . Which is a bit tight. I think that I'm actually a size G. But they don't stock 38GG in my local shops. I'm going to have to buy online.

I'm just a bit fed up of having big boobs! If I visit my mother she tells me to get a better bra as I'm very "booby". I look booby in everything.

I feel like I can't wear a t-shirt as I look so busty. My boobs look huge in everything. I don't mind them personally if Im just by myself.

But I just think that people over sexualise me everywhere I go. If I go to a meetup group, the men all talk to my boobs. It's very hard to dress myself without looking extremely sexual.

They are also heavy. Sometimes I just wish I had smaller boobs for an easier life!

What I don't get is why the back size varies if you are an A or F cup? What a stupid system. I don't find it does anyway. I can't get a 32 back bra on comfortably whether I tried an A cup or a G in it, as my underbust is 33". I am perfectly happy with a 34DD being a size 12 and it certainly fits properly according to any bra guide out there, but threads like this make me wonder and try other sizes. And some bras try and hoik my tits up to under my chin, or push them forward so much than tops looks stupid or lumpy. Personally I like my breasts to be more or less where they sit naturally, and not hoiked up, scooped, or pushed forward uncomfortably.

It's because the combination affects how far round your side your boobs start. If your back is narrow and boobs are big, they'll start further back.

As with the lottery that is clothes sizing right now, best to do it by sight and largely ignore the label, although bras do tend to be more accurate and standardised than outerwear. And make friends with a seamstress. If you do go to Rigby & Peller (I know, but with huge boobs I think they are worth the money if you can) they can do alterations for you.

@shearwater2 Does this photo help? It show how cup size changes with back size (while still being a D cup, confusingly).

I would be very surprised if you are a 38 given you are a size 12.

You need a proper fitting bra - it will do wonders.

FWIW I’m a size 24 with 38J breasts and whilst they’re massive they are fine in a good bra.

When much slimmer at a size 16-18 I have a 34 back. 38 is very unlikely.

I vary between a size 14 and size 16 and I'm a 38 in bras. I thought that might be wrong but I've been fitted properly. Some people are just wider across their backs. When I was a size 12 I was a 36 bra but on the last hooks. We're all built differently.

I’m a size 10/12 and 34FF. After I had children my back size increased - as if my ribs had expanded somehow. Not sure if that’s what actually happened but my body shape has definitely changed. It’s not fat as I just feel bone under my boobs.

@NonPlayerCharacter thank you! I will try these! I wear a lot of scarves and get very bored of them!

Anyway thanks for all the well meaning advice about bra size. I know it is important to get the right bra.

Honestly go somewhere decent and get a proper fitting. It will
Work wonders.

Another thing worth trying is vertical ruching down the front and centre, so it's gathered along the length at the middle. Draws the eye down the centre so your body looks longer (helpful if you're petite), takes attention away from the rack and breaks it all up a bit.

There's always a bit of trial and error but it's worth a go.

Follow the molke website guide to get your size. I was wearing a 34FF but I’m a 30HH and look much smaller now I’m properly supported. Even if you don’t like the bras the measuring system is great. And tell your mum to stop commenting on your body…

The cup size varies with back size.

A D cup on a 28" band will be much smaller (volume) than on a 36" band. There is no such thing as a D cup as such. It will vary with band size.

Like PP said, if you are a size 12 it's highly unlikely you are a 38 - as a rule of thumb, you add 20 to your dress size to find your bra band size.

Try www.booborbust.com/ - booborbust which has a measuring guide which should give you a more accurate starting size.

Interesting. That's a useful tip I've learnt about adding 20 to your clothes size. Thanks
