To find this film disturbing

"Leave the world behind" I find it more like a prediction,/warning on what's to come. Netflix tend to do this. Total shutdown of the internet, pho nes etc and the anarchy that would follow. Could this be a warning of the future? Very disturbing film.

It was absolutely rubbish . Wasted 2 hours watching it.

2 hours? Bloody hell, they dragged out a very short book!

You should go and watch something easier and more light hearted, plenty of options out there.

I liked it. When you say you don't understand the ending do you mean to the main characters? Or to America as a whole?

New York got bombed
Girl was in bunker
Men were going to go back to house and collect women and all go to bunker

Wider world might have been ok
Americans have civil war because it's such a divided society

I don’t understand your point. It’s a short book made into a long film, I’m well aware of my options.

The book is too short. The film is too long. You seem to be unhappy no matter what.

I'll watch the film as it has a good idea behind it, though it has to be better executed than the book, which was ridiculously pretentious. Also - the creepiest part of the book was the writer's fixation on everyone's sex life and genitals (even the children's - yuck).

I agree, those bits ( pardon the pun ) really spoiled the book for me. Horrible writing and unnecessary.

Station 11 was the best book I have ever read - couldn't bring myself to watch the show though because I don't want to have to shout at the telly.

Thank you, just bought it on your recommendation

I've finally caught up on the film and thought it was better than the book. It actually showed what was happening more - there are loads of things in the film including the boat scene at the start that aren't in the book. And am very glad they didn't feel the need to get into the dodgy sex bits. I also thought the film's ending was better.

A future who have planned for us? Who's they?

Netflix, clearly. 😂Sorry OP, but I couldn't help it.
