To call the authorities - trigger warning

Just seen this by the bins, it is in good condition and there is a piece of fabric on it.
Recycling bin is accross the street
My first thought was: did they throw a baby in the rubbish?

Does the block of flats have a lift?

MagicTape · 06/12/2023 19:26

You want to call the authorities to report that someone has thrown away a pushchair? 🤔

MassageForLife · 06/12/2023 19:28

Am I understanding you correctly - you see someone has thrown away a pushchair and the first thing you think is that they might have dumped a baby?

yes

and I live here so never seen this

That was genuinely your first thought?!

Jesus. I'm not sure it would be my 100th thought.

Redglitter · 06/12/2023 19:29

Theyve put the pram beside an area clearly marked for rubbish. It's one hell of a leap to think they've thrown a baby away ffs 🙄

Its not like its been left somewhere random.

MagicTape · 06/12/2023 19:29

Maybe call a prambulance?

thefallen · 06/12/2023 19:30

Wow - are you ok OP? That's quite a leap

Redglitter · 06/12/2023 19:30

MagicTape · 06/12/2023 19:29

Maybe call a prambulance?

😂😂😂

Igotjelly · 06/12/2023 19:30

I’m not sure if I wanted to get away with binning a baby I would leave the pram quite so close as evidence 😬

AhBiscuits · 06/12/2023 19:30

You've lost the plot.

yes correct

I live here and there is an area across the street where ppl throw items that are not rubbish

Also it looks in very good condition

People have all kinds of mental illness?

OP posts:
TheThingIsYeah · 06/12/2023 19:32

Too right for the trigger warning as I'm fewmin' I tell ya that a white rubbish bag has been placed in the bin when the sign EXPLICITLY says black bags only.

OP make sure you call Wandsworth council FIRST THING tomorrow.

Kedece2410 · 06/12/2023 19:32

I think you'd be better off going in and letting your imagination run wild in the comfort of your own home

There's NOTHING to suggest its anything more than a broken pram

ItsJollyTime · 06/12/2023 19:33

I'm guessing someone just wanted to get rid of the pram

SD1978 · 06/12/2023 19:33

It wouldn't even be my last thought.......I'd assume someone has chucked it. If you have nothing to go on except a pram is by a bin, what if there is a baby too, I do t think it's really a police matter. Logically- it's a pram, in the seated position, not laid back/ bassinet so I doubt you could lob a toddler in the bin and then not object.

Kedece2410 · 06/12/2023 19:33

VelvetVoice · 06/12/2023 19:32

Yeah like thinking a broken pram by a bin means a baby has been thrown out.

Don't be so ridiculous

MrsCarson · 06/12/2023 19:34

My first thought was they've been leaving it outside the door to the flat and blocking the hall, so someone in a pissy mood threw it outside by the bins

MagicTape · 06/12/2023 19:29

Indeed they do...

People have all kinds of mental illness?

They sure do

WhereIsBebèsChambre · 06/12/2023 19:37

So rather than check the bins/call for help as you think a tiny baby is in the bin area, you come on mn?!
Tragically this has happened frequently in the States.
