Milkshake story den.

Why are we reading books about pride, gender and drag to pre-school children.

But this is a good illustration of the problem we're facing.

Knee jerk 'acceptance and tolerance' otherwise you're bigot, without pausing to gather information or engage the brain.

Do you think that homosexual people don't understand appropriate boundaries and how to enforce them for the welfare if children? I'm happy to say that is not true of those I know.

It is not the depiction of same sex relationships in this book that people find inappropriate.

It's the illustrations of adults wearing fetish gear, the glorification of "gender affirming surgery" such as medically unnecessary double mastectomies, and the casual inclusion of a veiled reference to paedophilia.

HTH.

You’ve embarrassed yourself.

Also, great post @ArthurbellaScott

Totally agree @ArthurbellaScott

for those who are disputing the hidden paedophilia symbols - this pic is from an Amazon review.

Note the triangle symbol, which is the paedophilia symbol and the swirls in the window. Apparently paedophiles use additional symbols to indicate what age of child they are attracted to, with the swirly symbol that of attraction to young boys.

For those who are “this is a great book about acceptance and people are bigots” - you are being groomed

Can the people defending this even hear themselves?

No sex stuff around kids. It isn't difficult. No heterosexual sex stuff, no homosexual stuff. No kink, no BDSM. Nothing. Consenting adults of any flavour can do whatever they like with and to each other in appropriate locations. Those locations don't involve kids. Or kids books.

Not complicated.

For fucks sake, how goddam stupid are you?

And "love is love" right next to "MAP", which is an acronym for "minor attracted person".

Are we supposed to believe that is accidental?

On the contrary, I think these things were deliberately included because the majority of people have no idea what the symbols of paedophilia are, and so they're counting on the fact that those of us who unfortunately have become aware of these things in recent years will be outraged by this, and then they can say, "Can you even hear yourselves? You're frothing about the phrase "love is love" and a child dressing up as a pirate with a treasure map! You sound crazy!"

I'm sure that if you don't realise that these things are symbols of paedophilia then it probably does sound crazy. But then all of this is crazy. It is crazy that symbols of paedophilia have been deliberately drawn into a children's book.

Julian is a Mermaid would be more appropriate with a similar message.

For anyone who didn't follow the tribunal case, I would really recommend reading some of the testimonies given by members of the LGB Alliance in the case brought by Mermaids against the Charity Commission and the LGB Alliance.

I think it was LGBA's CEO who talked about their concerns about what the + in the LGBTQ+ stands for. The likes of Stonewall argue that the + just means they don't have to come up with a new letter every time they decide that a new group should be included within the "umbrella". Whilst that has a certain logic given how many sexualities and identities are constantly being invented and brought within the LGBTQ+ umbrella, one of the arguments made by the LGB Alliance is that lesbians, gay men and bisexuals are same sex atttracted people and they do not want to be linked to all these other groups, some of whom may bring them into disrepute. There are enough issues being linked with trans, which isn't a sexual orientation and which comes with its own problems such as who should be entitled to use which single sex spaces. But at least we know what trans is. The + could literally be anything.

Helleofabore · 06/12/2023 08:22

Well this seems very appropriate.

Several thousand young people are being caught each year sharing or watching indecent images of children – including child abuse material – a Guardian investigation has revealed.

and

Garner said children were becoming “desensitised” by early exposure to pornography, with an “increasing interest in shocking material after being exposed to violent pornography”.

It is even the Guardian so all those who lack the ability to read media that is not the right source don’t have any fucking excuse.

But hey… I expect there will be posters who cannot recognise what happens when children have lowered sexual boundaries, who will try to convince us this is not one of the direct impacts.
