Baileys.

Both drink AND dessert.

EPIC.

Name a better drink I dare ya!

Starbucks should do Baileys Frappuccino. Maccy D should do Baileys McFlurry.

EPIC.

Has a vegan option that is also EPIC.

Goes well with cereal. Cos it’s EEEPPPICC.

YANBU Baileys is EPIC.

YABU I am in an alternate universe where Baileys is not EPIC, so this vote doesn’t count.

I will not accept the results unless I am YANBU.

@ginasevern Very nearly but I've run out of cream (the shame, the shame). Anyway I'm already on the English sparkling (Tesco finest, thoroughly recommended esp. when on offer).

TurningtheLightOff · 25/11/2023 17:48

Baileys Luxe is the superior version especially in hot drinks.

previous poster who mentioned Amarula is also correct - it’s incredible. Disney World use it to flavour their very amazing zebra dome desserts.

slowsundays · 25/11/2023 17:50

I love it and I'm so sad I can't enjoy it this year as I'm pregnant but will very much celebrate with it when I can next year 😂

ginasevern · 25/11/2023 18:20

@Ethylred

No cream! Never mind, enjoy the fizz. I'll be joining you soon. (Don't panic, not literally)!

Do you have to store in the fridge once opened?
(Makes note to pick some up for tomorrow night.)

I just finished last Christmas's bottle, not kept in fridge, was fine. Just drink by best before date.

Ethylred · 25/11/2023 18:29

@slowsundays You do realise that this business of no alcohol during pregnancy is an American fiction with zero evidence to back it up? In fact the evidence is the other way: look at Italy or France. According to the US fiction they should be nations of cretinous zombies. Drink up!

You are heading in the right direction OP but try Alexanders instead.
1 measure brandy
1 measure crème de cacao (white will do but brown is better)
1 measure cream.

I think I might love you.

You seem quite.... 'joyful'!

Just marking my place to enjoy this later.

I mean, with that username you must be a fan of a Bushwhacker, a sibling of our fair Baileys??

All the flavours make the best hot chocolate

I like a glug in coffee to accompany a mince pie.

I like a generous glug in a flask of coffee when going for a long walk in the winter.

RM2013 · 25/11/2023 18:39

I drink it all year round 😍

Checks calendar.

Hmmm it's 25th November. Technically Christmas tree shouldnt be up until tomorrow earliest (ours went up yesterday but she don't tell anyone. We have 'reasons').

Whispers "you shouldn't crack open the Bailey's until 1st December otherwise you will run out well before the Big Man gets his. One bottle is fine. Two is early death guaranteed.

WingBingo · 25/11/2023 08:34

I add milk to my Baileys. Makes it a longer drink. Not too much though.

Visiting York at the moment. Lots of Christmas market stalls offering hot chocolate Baileys, I need it in coffee!

I was considering bringing a small bottle in my bag to add to a flat white. Can’t find a bottle small enough.

You need one of these, OP:

Hip flask

Not if you finish the bottle. My friend mentioned Strawberry Bailey's, is that real?

Yes they did have it one summer think maybe 2019. I remember Tesco and Asda having it on offer. Covid probably scuppered that though hopefully it will be back. Kept in fridge and poured over ice absolutely delicious. A few strawberries in the glass would also be a nice touch.

Atethehalloweenchocs · 25/11/2023 19:02

I didnt know there was an orange one! Just bought a massive bottle for a tenner ready for xmas. Wonder if it will last that long..........

A litttle slug of baileys in the hot chocolate when you're getting into bed in the morning after your last night shift on an icy morning . Glorious .

No slugs please but a glug of Baileys would be lovely.

Sainsbury’s are selling frozen Baileys profiteroles - dh and I had some last night and they are delicious - and only take half an hour to defrost!

I have been thinking of trying a mix of Kahlua and Baileys.

OddityOddityOdd · 25/11/2023 19:19

HP98

I had a similar experience with a glass of port, served in a whisky tumbler filled to the top £3. I've have gone back for another if I'd been able to stand up.

I'm a macaron baker and I've just made Baileys chocolate ganache to fill my Christmas wreath macarons with. I'm expecting them to sell quite well 😆

Lindt does Bailey chocolates and also a Salted caramel Baileys chocolate, they are the best!!

homemade Baileys is better than shop bought as you can add lots of whisky 🤣
