Baileys.

Both drink AND dessert.

EPIC.

Name a better drink I dare ya!

Starbucks should do Baileys Frappuccino. Maccy D should do Baileys McFlurry.

EPIC.

Has a vegan option that is also EPIC.

Goes well with cereal. Cos it’s EEEPPPICC.

YANBU Baileys is EPIC.

YABU I am in an alternate universe where Baileys is not EPIC, so this vote doesn’t count.

I will not accept the results unless I am YANBU.

Bailieys hot chocolate

Sudename · 25/11/2023 13:03

It is delicious poured over a slice of Romantica dessert

There's a caramel one in sainsburies thats just gone on my list. It is surprisingly alcoholic but having it warm is a great idea!

caramel Baileys is quite expensive, so I buy plain Baileys & add caramel flavoured coffee syrup. Works out a lot cheaper.

It's revolting stuff with excellent PR!

I feel like Baileys SHOULD taste amazing - it looks amazing. Every Christmas I try it thinking I must be wrong as it looks SO GOOD. Yet, every year, I'm somehow surprised that it's absolutely vile stuff.

There used to be a Häagen-Dazs Baileys flavour - that was truly epic 😋

Yep - I used to make Baileys smoothies at Uni with the ice cream, Baileys and chocolate syrup. Good days.

You better drink the pint of water and go to bed luv 🙂

I really, REALLY should have taken this advice.

However, another epic feature of Baileys is the bizarrely minimal hangovers! I am surprisingly - undeservedly - functional today!!

It was epic till I discovered it is 300 cals for 100mls

a whole 750ml bottle of wine is circa 600!!!

Worth EVERY single calorie! 😎

Well, I was going to bed... Now I'm eyeing the Bailey's while a man I should not encourage is messaging me...

I mean, as you can see by the eloquence of my opening post, and the subsequent comments and newfound Baileys combos, one ONLY makes the BEST decisions when drinking Baileys. I would like an update plz!

Another Bailey’s hater here just for balance.
I still buy some every year for aunts etc and end up tipping most of it down the sink in about March.

Balance is important. Also, v happy to collect Baileys leftovers in time for Easter!

Boring calories chat is not in the spirit of this thread, in my opinion.

LOVE baileys. Have been sloshing some in my coffee most mornings this week!

AGREE!

Life cannot - MUST NOT - always be about calories.

Leave the Baileys alone!!

(As long as you aren't having Baileys coco pops EVERY day, you're fine!)

I loved Baileys when I was younger, but I’ve lost the taste for sweet drinks (and the ability to drink excessively) since menopause. Enjoy it while you can!

Severely menopausal here, so know you have my utmost sympathies for the menopause manifesting so cruelly in your body!!

I make a rather lovely chocolate martini - equal measures of Baileys chocolate, Baileys salted caramel and toffee vodka. Put in cocktail shaker with ice and shake. Drink. Don't plan on doing anything else!

You, ma'am, are an absolute legend.

I sometimes wonder whether it’s possible to get pissed drinking solely Baileys, or whether you’d vomit from all the cream first. But yeah, it’s awesome.

I can confirm it is absolutely possible (!), but due to sugar/cream content it doesn't make you feel too shit the next day. For me anyway.

Ethylred · 25/11/2023 16:25

You are heading in the right direction OP but try Alexanders instead.
1 measure brandy
1 measure crème de cacao (white will do but brown is better)
1 measure cream.

ginasevern · 25/11/2023 16:28

@Ethylred

Ooh Ethylred, I haven't had a brandy Alexander in years. They were very popular in the 70's and I bloody loved them. Time for a revival me thinks.

Ethylred · 25/11/2023 16:36

@ginasevern I learned about Alexanders from reading Brideshead Revisited. The novel is atrocious but the cocktail is excellent.

PonyPatter44 · 25/11/2023 16:45

RJnomore1 · 25/11/2023 01:11

It won’t get you pissed though! I

And yet, you are so wrong. Hic...

Just marking my place to enjoy this later.

Now that's what I call a cultural education. Have you got the ingredients at yours? It's 5 o'clock you know.
