Baileys.

Both drink AND dessert.

EPIC.

Name a better drink I dare ya!

Starbucks should do Baileys Frappuccino. Maccy D should do Baileys McFlurry.

EPIC.

Has a vegan option that is also EPIC.

Goes well with cereal. Cos it’s EEEPPPICC.

YANBU Baileys is EPIC.

YABU I am in an alternate universe where Baileys is not EPIC, so this vote doesn’t count.

I will not accept the results unless I am YANBU.

The Aldi specially selected one they only do at Christmas is slightly nicer (because it's boozier).

WingBingo · 25/11/2023 08:34

I add milk to my Baileys. Makes it a longer drink. Not too much though.

Visiting York at the moment. Lots of Christmas market stalls offering hot chocolate Baileys, I need it in coffee!

I was considering bringing a small bottle in my bag to add to a flat white. Can’t find a bottle small enough.

This drink reminds me of my 20s. And what was the other grand, Sheridans? They were amazing. Haven't touched the stuff since as the taste is forever associated with hangovers of the worst kind, but yes it is an amazing drink!

trampoline123 · 25/11/2023 08:37

We start drinking it on dec 1st in literally everything!

PeacockHat · 25/11/2023 08:38

Ten years ago we stayed in a B&B in Ireland. The lovely woman who ran it made incredible breakfasts. One morning she asked me if I'd like a drop of Bailey's in my porridge. I naively assumed it was Bailey's flavoured milk. It wasn't and I was pissed by 8am.

No idea how much she used but it certainly wasn't a 'drop', and on an empty stomach too. BUT, it was absolutely incredible. When I retire, I'm going to have that every morning for breakfast.

trampoline123 · 25/11/2023 08:38

I remember being little at my nans and found a HUGE bottle of baileys. I drank some and god know how long it had been left there part open (I'd imagine years) but it was all curdled.

Ohmylovejune · 25/11/2023 08:43

I love a Sheridans too. And I've bought Disarrono Velvet - I assume a bit like those adding Ameretto to Baileys?

Let me repeat my recommendation for Malibu and Milk with ice. I've a friend who I spent quite a bit of time with over New Year about 35 years ago. He oftens sends me a facebook message at New Year saying he's reminded of me and the year of the "Malibu and Milk". It's soooo yummy and lighter than Baileys if you fancy something a little less creamy.

🤣 but that’s Christmas breakfast sorted, thanks!

My (adult) daughters favourite ever since a Malta holiday is what they called a Sweetheart.
One measure baileys. One measure coffee liqueur. Top it off with milk.

Lwrenagain · 25/11/2023 08:55

The only booze I miss (can't do hang overs, I just can't!) Are baileys and amaretto ones around Christmas.
If they did alcohol free I'd be all over that!

If anyone makes any fancy baileys drinks then please post a picture. I like to live vicariously through others 😂

wandawaves · 25/11/2023 08:58

Baileys is the best. I have it over ice with a touch of milk. I also love it with a coffee liqueur too. And I have added it to a hot coffee, which is great for cold nights. I also love the Baileys custard, Baileys cream, Baileys chocolates, and I think I've had a Baileys icecream too.

I did NOT love the pavlova Baileys. The strawberry one, salted caramel one, espresso one, and chocolate one, are all nice, but very sweet, and nothing beats the original flavour IMO.

JudyGemstone · 25/11/2023 07:38

My friends brother has baileys on coco pops for breakfast on Xmas day as a tradition. I imagine that would be quite nice, might have to give it a go this year!

Oooh that sounds great!

BeansOnToast32 · 25/11/2023 09:05

I have a Ninja Creami ice cream thing so I make my own Baileys Ice cream with 2 ingredients, ice cream mix carton and obviously Baileys so it is basically like a Baileys McFlurry.

I have used the Tiramisu flavoured Baileys to make ice cream too. It's amazing.

DoubleTime · 25/11/2023 09:05

Have you tried the Baileys ice creams in Morrisons ? Mmmmm

sweetpickle23 · 25/11/2023 09:07

Boring calories chat is not in the spirit of this thread, in my opinion.

LOVE baileys. Have been sloshing some in my coffee most mornings this week!

R0sePetalCheesecake · 25/11/2023 09:10

BMWs

Baileys, whiskey, malibu shots !

garlicandsapphires · 25/11/2023 09:11

AMARULA (south African drink with elephant on the bottle) is EVEN BETTER than Baileys IMVHO

TheCatfordCat · 25/11/2023 09:16

I don't like how it tastes or smells. It's pretty gross, actually.

KimberleyClark · 25/11/2023 09:18

Not fussed. Prefer Amaretto as a sweet liqueury drink.

Els1e · 25/11/2023 09:24

I’m visiting my mum right now and mixed views here. Me - Baileys is ugh. Mum - Baileys is essential but especially in hot chocolate.

GrumpyOldCrone · 25/11/2023 09:25

I loved Baileys when I was younger, but I’ve lost the taste for sweet drinks (and the ability to drink excessively) since menopause. Enjoy it while you can!

Doggymummar · 25/11/2023 09:40

Andylion · 25/11/2023 00:49

Do you have to store in the fridge once opened?
(Makes note to pick some up for tomorrow night.)

Not if you finish the bottle. My friend mentioned Strawberry Bailey's, is that real?

MrsMarzetti · 25/11/2023 09:40

Put a couple of malteser's in the baileys, drink and enjoy, at the end you have lovely balls of Baileys that are gods gift.
