To complain to bbc about CBeebies

usermumnurse · 23/11/2023 22:22

Their bedtime hour is so good between 6-7 for helping my toddler wind down - after in the night garden before the story - a CBeebies logo pops up and kids are shouting CBeebies which often stimulates my toddler who by this point is usually chilled out and ready to go to bed after the story & song. Just me or anyone else??

Why don't you just read them a story.

Nicknacky · 23/11/2023 22:23

Please tell me you are joking?

Ostryga · 23/11/2023 22:24

Omg 😂😂

Stop using tv to parent your children and do it yourself???

JockTamsonsBairns · 23/11/2023 22:25

😂😂

TeaKitten · 23/11/2023 22:25

YABU. Not all kids go to bed at that time, and you can calm them back down when you are doing their bedtime story.

CheatingCheetos · 23/11/2023 22:25

Definitely, one hundred per cent, complain.

Copy in the Director-General and write it in green ink, so they know you’re serious.

Dotcheck · 23/11/2023 22:25

Er, turn the tv off?
Are you really suggesting that the BBC should know when your child’s bedtime is, and that they go bananas over the bbc logo?
Maybe less tv is the way forward.
Not sure I can roll my eyes enough

PunjabiGirl · 23/11/2023 22:25

Mumsnet is batshit 🤣

mynameiscalypso · 23/11/2023 22:26

Just turn off after ITNG and read a story?

LolaSmiles · 23/11/2023 22:26

If something makes your child wide awake, don't allow them to have it before bedtime.

justalittlesnoel · 23/11/2023 22:26

You could get really speedy with the mute button if you know it's coming up? Or pause it?

ProvisionsOnTheDock · 23/11/2023 22:26

Have you considered complaining to the TV manufacturer first, about your clearly malfunctioning off button?

saltinesandcoffeecups · 23/11/2023 22:27

You should totally complain. Not just to the bbc, but to your mp and the media.

I’m shaking I’m so upset on your behalf.

Triggerfinger · 23/11/2023 22:29

Oh mate…

PuttingDownRoots · 23/11/2023 22:29

I'm sure it used to end with a song... (the time has come, to say goodnight, to say sleep tight til the morning light...)

Watch it on iplayer instead, a day behind. You can even adjust the time if you ar running early or late then...

Kitcaterpillar · 23/11/2023 22:29

I absolutely do not think you should complain.

BUT I watched the bedtime section of Cbeebies for the first time the other day and did think it was a bit odd that they used that one when everything else has been very mellow and quiet. It did really jar at the end of In the Night Garden.

ColleenDonaghy · 23/11/2023 22:39

Oh OP. One day you'll look back at this and laugh at yourself. And be glad you didn't say it to anyone in real life. You haven't, right? Grin

Cappuccino17 · 23/11/2023 22:46

Hey don't be harsh on her it could be a big deal for the OP.
I think if it helps your toddler to wind down that's great, but I like the suggestions of reading a bedtime book, i mean that's a nice traditonal thing to do and it does work
. But your toddler might have a full meltdown because he prefers tv over a book so then what? Look below.

Cut out the bedtime tv. Forward his tele time to earlier if it means you need some time to youself.. transition him into doing a fun but relaxing activity with him then transition him into reading time in bed away from distractions. 📚

Fawbs89 · 23/11/2023 22:47

😄 🤣 😂

QueenBean22 · 23/11/2023 22:48

i know what you mean, the end of CBeebies is awful.

Can you have the remote control ready to switch off once night garden has finished.

I don’t really think worthy of a complaint but perhaps email them with a suggestion

Flyingwithmytoddler · 23/11/2023 22:49

Reading your title I was so sure that you wanted to complain about the insufferable arsehole that is Bing.... maybe next time.

Ellemeg82 · 23/11/2023 22:50

comedycentral · 23/11/2023 22:50

I'm pretty sure the OP is joking
