To complain to bbc about CBeebies

Their bedtime hour is so good between 6-7 for helping my toddler wind down - after in the night garden before the story - a CBeebies logo pops up and kids are shouting CBeebies which often stimulates my toddler who by this point is usually chilled out and ready to go to bed after the story & song. Just me or anyone else??

Can be nice feedback, doesn't have to be a complaint

CaptainMyCaptain · 24/11/2023 08:21

It's just you I think OP. Turn the TV off and read a story from a book.

Emeraldrings · 24/11/2023 08:25

If your toddler really enjoys the story and song then mute it or turn it off the second it ends.
Why can't you just do that?
Also the end music isn't long (unless it's changed, I haven't had to watch it for years luckily) I'm surprised it's enough to wind them up
And to a PP yes Bing is fucking annoying

Ottersmith · 24/11/2023 08:35

I dont know why everyone is reacting like this. Yes complain. It sounds annoying.

Littlelucas · 24/11/2023 08:39

So funny!

Aww, I miss the the CBeebies days - I used to think it was torture but now that they watch horrible things like a guy on YouTube called Flamingo who screeches whilst playing computer games and others who's names I can't recall CBeebies seems like the golden days.

Does anyone remember the Jimmer Jammers song at bedtime?

"it's a clean face and toothpaste, a tinkle and a hug
you're feeling cosy, wrapped up warm and snug...
ooh, you jimmer jammer
ooh you jimmer jaha-merrrrr"!

Sigh...

housethatbuiltme · 24/11/2023 08:54

Not really much point in complaining since Cbeebies has been discontinued and will be going off air soon anyway, they have just been phasing it out slowly.

Are you sure you aren’t thinking of CBBC?

PuttingDownRoots · 24/11/2023 09:08

CBeebies is staying as a channel, CBBC is moving to streaming only.

She reads stories after her bath then gets her pjs on and comes downstairs for milk etc!

sugarapplelane · 24/11/2023 09:17

But why can't you turn it off before it gets to the logo?

TrishIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/11/2023 09:18

….OR you could stop relying on a TV channel to get your kid to bed?

TrishIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/11/2023 09:19

Actually please do it. Staff at the BBC complaints department could probably do with a laugh.

Maybe thats the issue? My kids are all so different but letting one down after bath was a massive fuck up for his night, it almost rebooted him and he was thinking it was time to play.

Maybe look at taking up milk, drinking it when doing cuddles and a story in bedroom, then teeth and last wee, straight to bed?

You mean nadir, don't you?

I think MN is plotted on an inverted axis Wink

Menomeno · 24/11/2023 09:30

The bedtime song used to be on the CBeebies website. I must admit I remember days where I’d be playing the bloody thing about 5.45. Come on, bath time!

ActDottie · 24/11/2023 09:31

😂 this can’t be serious

A screen before bed is stimulating anyway just read them a bedtime story yourself!

Henbags · 24/11/2023 09:50

Just turn the television off before that happens.
