To ask if everyone on Mumsnet is gorgeous?

Whenever someone shares a photo, even a partial one, it’s obvious they are stunning! Is it just me who isn’t!?

Mine is definitely faulty as it turns me into a middle aged woman with a significant amount of podge and eye bags. Clearly malfunctioning.

Heard something the other day on tv made me laugh. “I wish people would see how beautiful my mum says I am.” 😂

According to DP all the menz everywhere want me.

So if everyone is wearing the same kind of beer goggles as he is, then yes I'm gorgeous.

Definitely not a middle aged woman who needs to lose a stone or two. No indeedy.

Nah its just only people who know they are gorgeous are going to be comfortable sharing a photo!

Christ no. I'm bloody ugly and I know it. 5 stone overweight, greasy but (unfairly) greasy hair, greasy skin. Such poor eye sight I need massive varifocals.

Other people I see look effortlessly put together yet I always look slightly scruffy, even when I've made an effort I don't look "done" enough

It's called self selection bias.

I think people are only going to post the most flattering photos of themselves. There are quite a few people I know in real life and I'm always quite entertained at some of the heavily posed and filtered photos they post on sm or in chats. They really are often very flattering and can give the appearance of being a few stone lighter, more glamorous etc. Sadly I am not very photogenic, I always seem to get rather unflattering chins or my eyes are half shut.

This is why I only post pictures of my cat, nails or jewellery!

I wouldn't say the photos are of gorgeous people. Not ugly. But hardly mind blowing beauty.

I look like your run of the mill chunky menopausal woman. I wouldn't dream of posting a photo!

Like a lot of people, I'm averagely attractive. Not a stunner but not an ugmo. I have nice eyes and eyebrows but a biggish chin and don't always photograph well. I'm not in bad shape for my age- 43, size 10/12 but am not toned at all and have saggy boobs/stomach. I look youthful for age but am under no illusions I could pass for a much younger woman.

I wish! I’m not hideous but am overweight (double chin), getting on a bit, and definitely not in the gorgeous category. I pretty much never share pictures of myself anywhere.
