Whenever someone shares a photo, even a partial one, it’s obvious they are stunning! Is it just me who isn’t!?

Moi? Drop dead gorgeous

GuitarGeorgina · 23/11/2023 14:08

I’m not!
I’d say I was on the uglier side of average and very unphotogenic. Decent figure and hair but my face is not particularly attractive.

Orangeandgold · 23/11/2023 14:21

I’m not a super model but would say I’m a pretty lady. Have been told…

Im just not that photogenic - have also been told I look better in real life than pics!

KimberleyClark · 23/11/2023 14:21

I’m 62 and slightly overweight. I have good hair, thick and strong, quite nice eyes and my skin is quite good apart from nose to mouth lines.

JustEatTheOneInTheBallPit · 23/11/2023 14:21

I’m not remotely hot. And I only really check MN when I’m having a poo so extra ogre points to me.

Americano75 · 23/11/2023 12:20

I'm fucking stunning but sadly it just never seems to come across in photos.

😂

Devpatelslaughingeyes · 23/11/2023 14:26

I could be a supermodel, if they came at 5ft, 13 stone, and with sagging jowls. Vogue want me for their front cover - they just don’t know it yet. 😉
We are all beautiful in our own way.

Oblomov23 · 23/11/2023 14:28

Nope. Not me.

backtowinter · 23/11/2023 14:36

@ymemanresu I can't link bit if you look for hot date you'll find the thread

Apparently hot date for all excited and everyone in the pub looked on with admiration

I don't turn heads, just stomachs.

VanityDiesHard · 23/11/2023 14:37

Yes, I'm so stunning that men regularly faint at my feet, I never have to pay for anything in shops, and I spend my weekends refereeing fights between Colin Farrell, Brad Pitt and Miles Teller for my hand in marriage (even though Miles is married!)
In seriousness, I'm not unattractive but I value my anonymity so would never post my face on here or anywhere online.

Pinkyponker · 23/11/2023 14:37

Nope I'm fairly average I'd say. Like in between shrek and a supermodel. I'm tall so I have the height of those two aswell 😏

TheYearOfSmallThings · 23/11/2023 14:41

MadameCamembert · 23/11/2023 12:54

Nope. I’m overweight with eyes like pandas. It’s probably just that those of us who have hit a branch or two on the bland tree wouldn’t necessarily share pictures.

Why are you saying "eyes like pandas" like it isn't a good thing? Pandas are notoriously cute.

Londontown12 · 23/11/2023 14:41

Gorgeous is in the eye of the beholder !
what one person finds unattractive another will think their gorgeous!!
Thats what I love about humans we see beauty all differently 😍

Beatches · 23/11/2023 14:41

Lilibert456 · 23/11/2023 13:59

It's only the ones who think they are gorgeous who post the pictures.

Yes! Can I wear this to a big birthday/wedding/date/my own fucking funeral? Now tell me I look gorgeous/stunning figure/hope I have a fabulous time, (all the while I really look nothing special).

JL690 · 23/11/2023 14:47

@backtowinter the spinning heads in the Lincolnshire pub. Especially the men?

Highlighta · 23/11/2023 14:53

It's like these how old do I look threads. I don't understand why people do them.

The replies are anything between 16 to 50 yrs usually and a lot of the time the op takes the huff.

Imo they post just for compliments but some posters replying did take the piss as they were being posted more often.

I think I'm average. But never in a million years would I post a pic here. Not of me in an outfit nor of just my face.

GIF fail.

To ask if everyone on Mumsnet is gorgeous?
CasaAmarela · 23/11/2023 15:20

I am gorgeous and super young looking too. Everyone tells me I look at least 15 years younger than I am even though my only skincare is a dab of blue Nivea on my birthday.

Disorderla · 23/11/2023 15:20

I am.

My mum said so.

(Unfortunately no one else has, so I doubt I’d be confident enough to post a picture of myself and ask for opinions).

😁

KissTheRains · 23/11/2023 15:24

I'm tall, overweight, shaped like a bloke with shoulders more designed for carrying carpets than wearing nice clothes well.

I am not gorgeous. I'm awkward, chunky, with size 8.5 clompy feet.

But I get you OP, some of the photos I see people post and they'd look amazing. It does wonders for my self esteem. 🤣

backtowinter · 23/11/2023 15:24

JL690 · 23/11/2023 14:47

@backtowinter the spinning heads in the Lincolnshire pub. Especially the men?

That's the one

I had a typo.

I mean to say the hot date got all excited. Envy

Superscientist · 23/11/2023 15:29

My partner once said to me that he thought I had put a spell on him as he thinks I was beautiful but look strange in photos. I always am pulling a funny face or squinting. Too many teeth too little teeth. It's like I'm the inverse Barney Stenson from how I met your mother who can never take a bad photo. My photos are 90% awful.

In person I think I'm somewhere are average. If I'm feeling good I feel pretty attractive. I have very dark brown eyes with long red hair which is an unusual hair. I can have good skin and only a smatter of make up is required to look "good". Then I fall down a metaphorical hole. My skin goes dull I get a break out of stubborn spots. My hair goes limp and I feel dreadful. I stay indoors as I feel. I probably still come under average attractiveness but swung closer to unattractive.

I definitely think how I feel on the inside gets mirror on the outside

thomasinacat · 23/11/2023 15:31

I am not bad looking, but have never photographed at all well, partly due to slightly off centre nose, high blinking rate, and also because I hate being photographed and look like I am in extreme discomfort when asked to smile for the camera (bit like Chandler in Friends (RIP Matthew)).

In my late 20s, quite in my prime, my boss took a group photo at a meeting and I somehow managed to look like a grumpy old sack of potatoes having the worst bad hair day (how, why ?? my hair in real life looked fine!), and about 3 times my age. Of course this photo was posted on the company website.

The following week I went to another office to meet with a colleague I'd never met before and when I walked in he was open-mouthed, and quite forgot any tact as he said, I can't believe it, you look nothing at all like your photo, you're really pretty. I could tell his team had been discussing the picture in a not-too flattering way, along the lines of wow what a double-bagger coming to see us.

ManateeFair · 23/11/2023 15:32

I'm pretty average tbh. I also know (from comments I've seen on here) that there are certain Mumsnetters who would really clutch their pearls at some of my style choices!
