Laurence Fox libel trial

Laurence Fox has been sued for libel by two people he described as paedophiles in a twitter spat. They described LF as racist. Trial began today, suing and counter-suing. Mr Fox arrived with his - written thus (daily mail) in single quotes - 'girlfriend'. Odd description.

where did she say it was a fact.? you struggle with distinguishing fact and opinion clearly.

She said call it what is, it is racism.
That is quite a statement.

Opinion or fact. People are allowed to disagree or have a discussion about this whatever their skin colour.
Otherwise what is the point of a talk show if only certain people can have an opinion or discussion?

She did not call LF racist. She commented on his inability to comment from the experience of a black woman. FACT, indisputable. In return he called her racist. FACT, matter of record.

The fact you have an obsession with reminding us that Megan is mixed race, and not "black" pretty much tells me everything I need to know in all honesty.

I didn't say she called LF racist. She was talking about the treatment of Meghan.
He is allowed an opinion. In his opinion and many others Meghan Markle did not have bad press because she was biracial.
He is allowed to have an opinion as are others.

Also, she did not stop LF having an opinion. He, in fact, interrupted her and preventing her stating her opinion. She said he does not have experience. She never, once, told him to shut, or stop talking, or told him he was not allowed an opinion.

Anyway. Like I say, I think you have made it perfectly clear why you are a supporter of LF and his opinions.

You are. You twist words, then attempt - very poorly to gaslight on what we've read. But you do you. Supporting LF despite all what he has done is the hill you chose to die on under the guise of ' differing' opinion or fact as you use interchangeably. Good luck with that.

How can he claim his reputation has been damaged by other people? He put a swastika on his twitter feed. Maybe he meant to make some point with it, but he torpedoed himself with that. Why would anyone hire the actor who posts swastikas on social media? And how can he blame that on anyone else, or blame others for interpreting it as a racist action?

Exactly.

I think his counter claim is just a "ill sue you back" type of thing. He knows he won't win his counter claim.
But he'll still sing his "I'm being cancelled" song.

Even GBeebies has dismissed him because they can't defend his commrnts/opinions (and remember they are stauch defenders of "free speech).

He knows he is not getting work because of the things he has said and done- not because a bunch of people called him racist and are trying to "cancel" him.

And he shared his opinion on a national tv show.

Then the below exchange happened (as shared by another poster) in which someone shared their opinion, he shared his, she replied and then he interrupted her.

In what world is this exchange him being silenced / shut down / "not allowed to express his view" / "not allowed to have an opinion" as you've claimed is the case?

The only podcast I heard him on was Andrew Tate's.
Surprisingly enough, they had a lot to bond over. Mainly how they're both victimised because they are real men, which is not allowed any more.

He was particularly insistent about teaching his sons to be real men, it seemed to involve beating them at sports at all.

But you also think:

"He only shut her down because he didn't like what she was saying"

As a reminder, Laurence Fox shared a version of the Nazi symbol made out of rainbow flags to Twitter to mark LGBT Pride Month.

Posting the offending picture he said: “Oh blessed and most holy month!"
