Laurence Fox libel trial

Laurence Fox has been sued for libel by two people he described as paedophiles in a twitter spat. They described LF as racist. Trial began today, suing and counter-suing. Mr Fox arrived with his - written thus (daily mail) in single quotes - 'girlfriend'. Odd description.

One of the finest commentaries on what's gone wrong in Western society that I've ever read bar none.

And the gin should have been donated to the masses mind, not kept by the parents of Fox and Johnson. I could do with some gin donations, as I'm sure we all could.

'girlfriend'. It's the use of the inverted commas. It's pretty clear she's been handpicked to make a point of LF not being racist.

yes I don't think he's a particularly pleasant person I read something somewhere about him, I also don't understand the love for him but I think that's a personal taste thing.

Richard Ayoade was been subjected to a horrible and defamatory Twitter pile-on and attempt at 'cancellation' (which seems to have failed, fortunately) by a bunch of blue-haired arseholes who didn't like his endorsement of Graham Linehan's book of memoirs Tough Crowd. Ayoade's supposedly controversial opinion of the book was, 'His brilliance in prose is equal to his brilliance as a screenwriter'.

Jonathan Ross also endorsed the same book - 'a must-read book - funny and utterly compelling' - but yet it was Ayoade who drew the most ire.

Hahahaha. This would be funny if it weren't so serious.

His mental health is clearly awful. He is like a coiled spring of resentment waiting to burst in some huge public crisis. I actually think it’s quite likely that these broadcasters who are supposed to have been in negotiations to work with him cancelled him on safeguarding grounds.

If he was normal and not absurdly posh and British he would be like a school shooter. I have rarely come across someone who is so obviously having a long breakdown and remaining in the public space.

Yes, when all your actions scream 'hate me, look how horrible I can be and you can't stop me', it's certainly a cause for concern about arrested development. Unfortunately, LF views himself as a freedom fighter expressing views his friends share but cannot voice because of wokeness(?!). In his eyes, he's not a sad figure of a rejected man with poisonous views, he's a hero with the courage to speak the truth as he sees it. An intervention probably wouldn't go amiss.

I'm sure it's a complete coincidence that 'Twatman' is trending on Twitter.

That's because "Lozza" claimed that he was in the running for the role of Batman in the most recent film (the Robert Pattinson one) but was dropped after he was accused of being a racist.

He's headed for a mental breakdown. He has very little cash, can't get a mortgage, yet he is frittering away money on legal fees. Sees little of his kids, no agent will touch him, Sad to see him unravel like this even if he is a racist twat.

He seems to have changed his Twitter bio since I last looked at it a few weeks ago. I assume he thought that describing himself as trans lesbian of colour or whatever it was might be taken the wrong way. I’m also assuming that he didn’t realise that the people defending the claim have almost certainly got screenshots as part of their evidence.

He has definitely crossed the line from quite funny to uncomfortable to watch.

people like her KNOW. they know it's racism. The clue is in your response which is not based on any logic or fact , but to respond to shouting, woke, lefties etc. As delusional as Lozza himself who thinks he lost a chance to be batman

He is countersuing people because they called him a racist. To prove libel, the statement made must be false. Now there is ample evidence; with several of his tweets- that even twitter had to ban, blackface, demanding boycott of sainsburys due to their christmas ad, mocking the BLM movement vs they are suing him because he called them paedophiles (a matter of having a criminal conviction), which neither of them have.

I wish him good luck in losing his trial and the rest of his money. His barrister is earning the easiest ££££££ possible.

I'm a big fan of all the Morse series and it pisses me off that he ruined Lewis for me.
