Laurence Fox libel trial

Laurence Fox has been sued for libel by two people he described as paedophiles in a twitter spat. They described LF as racist. Trial began today, suing and counter-suing. Mr Fox arrived with his - written thus (daily mail) in single quotes - 'girlfriend'. Odd description.

Would it damage his reputation if we said nice things about him?

Oh dear. Laurence has lost his only MP, the delightful Andrew Bridgen. Doesn't like the 'change of direction' from the top of the party and has stomped off. Who knows where? Not I.

The "difference in direction" reason for leaving is rather vague. I'm intrigued as to whether Reclaim is too bonkers and extreme even for Bridgen, or not bonkers and extreme enough.

And the verdict in the libel trial is taking a while, I guess we won't know the outcome until the new year now.

As someone who has known his girlfriend since i was 16, she most definitely didn't "black up" and is not white. She is mixed race and always puts her hair into protective styling for winter. She is the most kind hearted person I have had the pleasure of calling a friend, she is a wonderful mother, sister and friend, ridiculously intelligent and loves life and lives it. No, not yet, but, according to LBC, the Laurence Fox Party is in a parlous state. Hasn't filed appropriate accounts and will be closed down if he doesn't move sharpish. Further to the departure of Andrew Bridgen - this is gossip rather than an accredited statement - AB and LF fell out over the use of a company car and a Christmas tree. AB took the Party car to his constituency to carry out important constituency work. LF wanted the car to transport his newly acquired Christmas tree to somewhere else. (How can this be true? Surely they're not sharing one car between them?) LF asked AB to bring it back so he could use it. AB firmly declined. Fall Out, Not Yoqur Friend Anymore. It's hilarious, I do hope it's true.
