To think encouraging people to send chocolate secretly is not a good idea?

So Cadbury do this thing where you can send chocolate anonymously to someone. AIBU to think this is not something to be encouraged? I'd be disturbed receiving unexpected chocolate to my home address.

It would be shipped from the company, so it's like like an unlabeled brown box out of nowhere. It's meant to be fun. There's so much evil in the world already, no need to invent more that isn't there.

I'd think they were trying to finish me off ..I'm diabetic 😂😂

probably arrogant

Nice way to talk about a multiple rape victim, that. I wasn't humble-bragging about men fancying me, to be utterly clear here. I was talking about male sexual entitlement and male violence.

Except I didn’t know you were a multiple rape victim until after…
I take back arrogant and apologise for any offence.
I still wonder whether you recognise your experience is atypical and in conjunction with your ASC leads you to have fears which are not shared by most people. I’m aware a lot of men are dangerous, I grew up in the 70s and 80s when such seedy behaviour was normalised. I haven’t experienced the extent of issues you have. That’s my luck, sure, but I think my experience is probably more typical. Even if it’s not, it doesn’t make the odd bar of Cadbury’s creepy or dangerous, and it certainly doesn’t make people who do speak to others ‘fucking weirdos’. I think that’s a bit more insulting than my ‘probably arrogant’, don’t you?

I wouldn't eat it unless I knew where it had come from OP!

It comes direct from Cadbury.

I do. I'm a woman and have zero interest in your knickers 😳

What could go wrong - let me see - random mentalist sees stalking as romantic and already has a conviction for stalking, feels validated by advert that sending unwanted gifts is in fact romantic and not stalking, so starts sending chololate- person he stalked kills themselves because thry can np longer deal with more harrassment on top of the 5 years it took to get the injunction in the first place. If you validate stalking behaviour then it continues. Anonymous chocolate is not cute or romantic, it is stalking. Based on real life experience of that exact kind of behaviour. Yes the woman, my mother, did kill herself.

I really don't hate anyone enough to inflict Cadbury chocolate on them! I certainly wouldn't send it to anyone I liked!

LostThestral · 11/11/2025 14:54

I would love to send some - no idea where these posters are though, i've never seen one
