Gym response to being flashed in ladies changing room?

A male entered the female changing room and flashed at me late last Saturday night. I was alone and naked. I reported to the gym who have said that they checked the cameras three times and can’t see a male entering. It must be on there somewhere it happened, I’m raging about it and the response. I want him identified so I can report to police.

aibu to think this isn’t good enough

Sorry it’s awful you haven’t felt heard about your concerns, obviously we don’t know what’s going on in the background, but interesting the gym have now “found” the footage.

Can you follow up the police for an update?

Have you raised a complaint to head office?

No update from police. Nothing atall

gym have back tracked and now found the footage but can’t tell me any more than that. No update or calls from them since telling me they had found it

not sure what I was expecting to be honest

How long since they said they’d found the footage? Can you contact them again and ask what’s happening? I’d want some assurance this person has been banned.

Knowing DL though if he says it was a mistake and he went in the wrong changing room they’d probably believe him!

BrightGreenMoonBuggy · 12/12/2023 13:17

So there is footage. Sounds very much like they hoped you would just go away if they said there was no evidence and then they wouldn’t have to deal with the person who did it. I’m sorry this happened to you and that you weren’t believed.

I'd get it in writing so email or text that they've checked the CCTV for the times stated (and could find nothing)....then I'd inform the Police.
Have you seen this person before? So you think it m8ght be an employee? Might be worth having a nose, so looking around at website, the facility, noticeboards etc.Be careful what you post on SM too as sometimes this can prejudice cases.
You know what you saw. Don't be gas lit

Perhaps you could have tortured him to death? Would that have been more satisfying?

This. Clearly your boyfriend didn’t love you enough since he forgot to castrate the flasher after kicking his face in.

OP I am sorry this happened to you, sounds as though the gym is hoping you will shut up and go away. Contact the police, flashing , like voyeurism, is one of those entry level sexually motivated crimes that can escalate .

Maybe you’d get a better response from the local paper…

Seconded. Go to the press, shame them on social media
