Because I have cut my thumb, opening some catfood, and it really, really, really hurts

I think I can manage without going to the emergency department though, but I am going to moan for quite a long time 😁

I did not buy treats as I am trying not to eat bad stuff/sugar.

so now I am in front of a film eating cranberry sauce from a jar with a tablespoon that was bought for Xmas.

I love this!

Tilllly · 05/11/2023 04:01

@ADHDGURL instead of (or as well as) Baileys, try vanilla vodka mixed with Kahlua. It's like a grown-up version of Baileys. Someone on here recommended it a few years ago.

I’m not a Baileys fan, however Baileys, vodka and amaretto with lots of ice is so good.

Catsmere · 05/11/2023 06:55

Ow, OP! Those tin lid cuts really hurt.

My first world problem is trying to find a shawl pin for the cardigan I'm knitting. I lost mine last year and haven't seen any on the internet that I like (and that aren't from Temu or Shein - I want locally made).

piscofrisco · 05/11/2023 07:05

I can't get my fireplace and mantle piece to look right no matter what I put on it. I was lucky enough to have a very grand open fire and huge surround thing in my old house. This one is narrow and rubbish but still a focal point and no matter what I put on it I'm not quite happy with it.
Also I don't like the rug I bought for the same room.
Maybe I just don't like the whole damn room and should start again!!

Shayisgreat · 05/11/2023 07:11

I've been playing tennis twice a week for the last year and I'm still not any good at it TennisSad

Heatherbell1978 · 05/11/2023 07:15

DH and I on a weekend away in a fancy holiday and we asked to move room as ours was too hot. The new room didn't have a dressing table for me to dry my hair after visiting the spa.

daisychain01 · 05/11/2023 07:24

I Whatsapped my cycle repair man who lives locally to see if he can give my bike a service next week and he replied that he has stopped doing repairs as he's got another job.

I'm now completely bereft and can't think past the fact he's been doing such a fab job of my bike and nobody will ever replace him 😢 😭 😢

Fourmoos · 05/11/2023 07:25

I can’t decide whether to get Christmas tree no.4……

notyourmummy · 05/11/2023 07:40

I go back to work tomorrow after a week off. It's another 7 weeks until I get a fortnight off...I'm tired already 🤣

CeciledeVolangesdeNouveau · 05/11/2023 07:43

@Shayisgreat sorry to break it to you, but it may just not be your sport! I can figure skate, hurdle, cycle and swim very well (and ride horses) but give me a ball and either it’s going to hit me or someone else in the face or the entire game is going to be picking it up from the ground. I can’t even throw a ball or toy for my cat without it going wrong! This is despite years of tennis, rounders, netball and lacrosse at school.

why do some posters are against ai writing software if the person is using the software to correct their spelling and writing skills ?

i understand if they just post x information that is not answering the op, then i can understand peoples frustrations, but if they use the program to write x information and it does answer the ops question then why do people prefer the human written response even if the objective is the same eg answering the ops question ?

What was that?

neveradullmoment99 · 05/11/2023 08:01

I can't find my slippers😡

Kittensat36 · 05/11/2023 08:18

Well someone is going to have a first world issue "Mumsnet has banned my post on AI. It' a conspiracy, I tell ya."

Kittensat36 · 05/11/2023 08:20

Sorry, that was a reply to @notascoob

twattydogshavetwattypeople · 05/11/2023 08:22

I'm having to have cream on my luxury granola because I've run out of yogurt.

ChienneDesFromages · 05/11/2023 08:28

I need to book a slot to get DD1’s bassoon serviced. This will mean an extra unplanned trip to London before Christmas.

Also, the snowboard group is full for our ski holiday and DD2 will have to ski instead.

I work with kids with real problems, first world or not, and it can be hard not to remind my own how charmed their life is at times.

Catsmere · 05/11/2023 08:29

I made the mistake of trying butter chicken and now my mouth burns and my unit stinks (this just from reheating the stuff in the microwave).

RommyRommyRommm · 05/11/2023 08:39

The battery for my luggage scales has run out, & it’s killing me. Not that I’ve ever gone over on my luggage allowance. I won’t be going on holiday either as I’ve got too much on.

Etsy?

You can filter for a UK seller, and handmade items.

Crooklodge · 05/11/2023 09:58

I'm going to a gig tonight, but I am so tired I can't think of anything worse than getting off my arse and getting a bath.

I also had to share my wine last night, the horror!

Etsy Australia in my case - thanks for the tip about filtering for handmade. (I saw some lovely designs by a UK maker in a general image search, but £35 translates to $66 and that's before shipping! 😱)
