changed their knicker styles? The style I have bought for years no longer exists. Have bought underwear from M&S forever, but have had to shop elsewhere.

The steak and onion in french bread thingy that you heated up in the oven. This was a very, very long time ago, but DH still lives in hope that they'll bring them back.

Our M&S café is apparently being refurbished into a "digital café, like McDonalds".

I don't know where they're doing their market research to be honest, the cafe is always busy even in its low tech state.

They be better sorting the knicker quality situation out!

I was so disappointed with M&S cafes

I used to love the proper high rise shorts with a lace trim and the midi knickers

The trousers are too long and the cardigan sizes are inconsistent

LadyEloise1, we had an M&S restaurant years ago.
It was actually delicious, and did a great meal deal that mirrored the price of the Food Hall meal deal (they were great as well). You’d even get a glass of wine with it.
The cafe that has replaced it is absolute pants (pardon the pun!)

I unpick the stitches holding on the pointless bows as soon as they come out of the pack and use them for making greetings cards instead; they're a good size for that

I’m 40 something and l quite like a little bow! I also love bright colours. Frivolous can be fun. I don’t do white or beige either. The latter makes my crotch look as if it’s made from cardboard😂.

I miss the Chicken Tikka sandwich, also their square crisps and the bacon and leek quiche. I also liked being able to buy their granola squares individually at the bakery and in the cafe.

Digital cafe? Most of the customers in my local M&S are elderly. Not that they wouldn’t / couldn’t do digital, but most of them enjoy the bit of chat with staff. Same as the mums who bring their kids. It’s a nice social interaction. That’s important.

I was also devastated when they stopped doing their blonde chocolate nuts. They did packs for about a month. It was amazing. Good times.

I think the high rise short is the midi renamed. I bought some and they seem the same to me. (Tired menopausal person here so possible that there are subtle differences that I have missed!).

I bought a pack of my usual size from Matalan and they are massive.

this made me snicker thanks for that. Their knickers used to be much better quality. I love their joggers, they're quite good, and the Emma Bridgewater flower pots at this time of year. I'm super pissed at them and throwing my toys out the pram because they're sodding off 45 minutes walk from me at the end of November whereas they used to be 5 minutes walk away and it cheered my day up to go get some nice food after work the last 6 years. I'm proper pissed, [perimenopausal and have the rage anyway] and I'm being so unreasonable. I mean, there are wars going on and people don't have food and drink and I'm pissed that M&S is moving🙄😏

My gripe with M&S is that it’s always so difficult to find the underwear you want in there - every time I go to top up, everything has moved around, with stock in random size assortments on those stupid fixtures that make you crouch down searching for your pants size. Just ‘popping in to get some pants’ always becomes this epic frustrating 40minute episode where I’m too hot and end up getting choice overload. Is that just me??

I gave up on M&S pants a few years ago - just too expensive. I defected to Asda for their shorts style pants - good quality and a lot cheaper 👍🏻

My Tena lady tried to escape the replacement for the Midi briefs. I was walking along just minding my own business when I felt it stuck to the inside of my thigh. The leg of the new pants was much bigger, and the gusset wider, than the midi style of old.

TheChosenFew The bows are there for those of us who have to get dressed in the dark. It's so we don't put the pants on back to front and get a wedgie.

And the free little biscuit too .

the gussets on their full briefs are now about half as wide as a standard sanitary towel...this is painful and fucking annoying.
