Friend in group keeps doing this

Would this annoy you…

Group of six friends, mums, jobs, busy lives. One person in the group when suggesting to meet up, if one of us can’t come, basically ignores that and wants to push ahead for the meeting. Whereas the rest of us will try to find a date that suits us all the next week etc. This friend never does and the excluded person who said they’re unable to meet due to work etc that day doesn’t get acknowledged on the texting and messages keep flying from this person about hoping they can all meet up that day etc
Is this rude/unkind?
Just a thing I’ve noticed has happened twice and a couple of other friends on the group have mentioned to me too…whereas the rest of us tend to make sure we get to an arrangement where we can all go out/meet?

If I'm the one person who can't come I'd say to the others to go ahead.

This is how things would play out with my former friend:
A: Shall we arrange a night out?
B: Sounds good.
C: Let's do 16th.
D: Works for me.
E: Me too.
B: I can't do that date.
C: Great. We're all set for 16th.

Later that year...
D: Let's arrange another get together.
E: What about 3rd?
C: Let's do 5th.
B: I'm free.
A: I'm busy that day.
C: Great. We're all set for 5th

If it's like this, the friend is selfish and rude.

I agree that a date should be made where everyone is available but in our group there tends to be the same person constantly not available on days suggested and things dont end up going ahead trying to find a date they areavailable so as time has gone on we are less likely to try and find a date for them and just go ahead as we was.

Maybe she fancies going out on that particular night, and would just love to see whoever can make it. I’d do this, just as I wouldn’t care if my friends ( like you we are a close knit group) organised something and I couldn’t make it. Chill!!
