AIBU to think this is grim?

DH gets a Graze box in the post every month (random collection of snacks in box which fits through the letterbox).

There's no obvious home for it in the kitchen cupboards so he puts it on top of a stack of dinner plates.

I think this is grim because it's been through the postal system, handled at the sorting office, handled by the postman and lands of our floor just inside the door right where everyone treads in their shoes when they come into the house.

He sees no issue in then putting food onto the plate the box has been on. I disagree. AIBU?

There is a reason why people who grew up on farms have fewer allergies and more robust immune systems. Some exposure to dirt and germs is good for you.

Cleaning and anti bacing things constantly will not do you any good.

To answer a few qs:

  • I've had a quick look and think I need to go on a diet before there's any prospect of me sliding into a laminator, but I'm happy to try it
  • I also think the boxes are a waste of money, but it's his money, his choice
  • They aren't heavy so it's no bother sliding them off the top plate onto the next one
  • I'm sorry to say that cupboard is a heinous crime against logical sense and order. I can't remember what we had in there when we moved in, but we had to clear the bottom shelf to make way for snacks to be high up out of DC's reach so it's not entirely random that they are in that cupboard even if they are on the wrong fucking shelf in their manky box

I have to admit it wouldn't even cross my mind about the germs. I would find it annoying to have to always move them to get a plate out though.
