What is the weirdest thing that bugs people on MN?

I remember a poster saying that it really stressed her out to see a woman outside the house with wet hair as no one should be too busy to blow dry their hair. This was weird to me because I have shoulder length hair and never blow dry it.

What about you?

@Mrsjayy On MN ordinary parents like yours and mine don't exist. They are either rich, Tory voting boomers or should be sent to the poor house because they've clearly spent their lives refusing to work or save.

harryoharriet · 15/10/2023 12:58

Going out with wet hair doesn’t stress me out but yeah I agree, it looks bone idle. If your hair looks better when left to dry naturally, get up and wash it earlier.

Nothing bone idle about it. My hair is very long and takes hours to dry. I can't stay indoors until it's dry as that would be quite limiting and impractical.

To be fair, some MNetters think I should also move out of my 4 bed detached house and give it to a family just because I don't have kids 🤣

Well yes don't you want to give your house up to a deserving family surely a nice studio flat would suit😂

bronkie · 15/10/2023 12:59

Anyone who doesn't agree with you is "unhinged"
The people who imply or even say that you are a racist, mysoginist anything-ist especially when accompanied by "your mask is slipping" or "we see you" in an attempt to get your comment deleted.

RandomButtons · 15/10/2023 13:00

Organic farming apparently. So bizzare.

FastFood · 15/10/2023 13:04

Haha I have the same thing, I don't like seeing people with wet hair in the street. Yet I don't blow dry my hair, and will often be one of these rogue wet-haired people.

This said, I just bought a hair dryer, I wanna start styling my hair a bit more, but its not the subject.

The thing that I find crazy on MN is kids believing in father christmas after 6 yo, but I think it may be cultural, in my country believing in Father Christmas is hardly enforced, generally there's no "sit down, we have to talk" big reveal moment, it just naturally fades out.

Cosyblankets · 15/10/2023 13:13

There are no naughty children on MN only those with SEN

Overuse of "myself" do people really speak like that?

All these people living rurally. Do you all really live in the middle of nowhere?
Any female who does any kind of cleaning or cooking in the house must be in an abusive relationship

No middle ground with dogs on here. They either should not be allowed out in public or treated like babies.

daliesque · 15/10/2023 13:14

Why even a studio flat....my lifestyle is obviously so hedonistic that I should just have a room in a house somewhere for when I roll,in drunk at 4am after partying all night 🤣

marshmallowfinder · 15/10/2023 13:25

Obviously if you work in the week, then you'll be going on a Saturday. It's abundantly clear that's not what was meant here.

This disabled person works for a living Monday -Friday. And as a fully paid up worker I'll shop when I like. Anyone who thinks otherwise will be given a flea in their ear.

That said, I hate shopping when it's busy and will go out of my way to avoid peak times.

My comment below was in relation to this.

Yeah, wasn't really having a go at you, sorry. More the muppets who think they're the only ones who should be out.

labamba007 · 15/10/2023 14:05

The judgements on the number of children you have...

1 child = you're basically bringing up the devil
2 children = acceptable
3 children + = you can't complain about anything without a 'well why did you have another child?'

Or they could be so busy running from one activity to another 🤔

Get up early just to satisfy other people's views on what is or isn't the done thing? Nah.

You don't know you're not supposed to do this, right? Vulgar is the wrong word, idiotically dangerous is more apt.

Deranged responses to humorous conversations.

Valerianandfoxglovesoup · 15/10/2023 14:58

I go to the gym, shower and wash my hair then drive to wherever I am going to get a blow dry if I'm going out or have an important meeting. When I had extensions, I used to fly from Doha to Dubai for a blow dry which has so many mn triggers in it, it may actually need to be apologised for by Lloyd's Bank

Fizbosshoes · 15/10/2023 15:33

People have different priorities, I go out with wet hair because I prefer it to dry naturally and I either don't want to get up earlier, or there isn't time. I notice sometimes people wearing clothes that I think would look better ironed. My thought process is usually "I think that would look better ironed" (DDs school skirt was pleated which imo looked better ironed- lots of girls wore them clearly not ironed) but that was literally a momentary thought, I didn't think it was idle or lazy because there are multiple reasons why someone may not have ironed it!

Betruthful · 15/10/2023 15:37

Older mums looking down on young mums with out knowing there story.
I wouldnt change anything about having my son at 19 ( but i got called scum on MN)
But MN dont bat an eye at someone at 48 plus nearly 50.
but its uproar if your in your 20s.
Everything is abuse if a man does it nothing wrong if a woman dose it.
Mostly every post has (SEN) in it.

daliesque · 15/10/2023 12:43

The ones who tend to be judgemental towards parents are the ones planning on having kids themselves.

People like me, who never wanted them and have no interest, aren't judging you because we just don't care, unless your child is doing something that annoys or inconveniences us. In which case, I'll judge all I want thank you.

judge away

but don't tell parents HOW they should parent, or you would parent, or how kids should be made to behave... because until you have one or more, you haven't got a clue 😂

Mrsjayy · 15/10/2023 16:16

Are you not cold going out with wet hair ?

Sigmama · 15/10/2023 16:19

My hair looks better if it dries naturally, and I am quite sporty so wash it after activities, and I don't own a hairdryer, so am often put n about with wet hair - is it allowed at the beach?

spitefulandbadgrammar · 15/10/2023 16:28

I like it when posters are aghast, baffled, shocked, confused, etc, that anyone married or long-term serious cohabiting (20+ years, mortgage, children) has separate finances instead of one joint account, all money in the family pot, assigned “personal spends”. (It’s always “spends”, even though I don’t know anyone in real life who’d call their money left over after bills “spends”.) How dare some people manage their finances differently and it not affect me at all!!

daliesque · 15/10/2023 17:09

As I said...if it is annoying or inconveniencing me....damn right I'll judge. I won't tell people how to parent, but I will tell them to remove their child from my sight.
