To be against the attacks on Palestine

What happened in Israel was horrific by Hamas. But why are Palestinians being restricted, bombed, dehydrated and deprived of basic needs because of terrorists? Why is the world supporting Israel commiting war crimes?

Hamas are sick fucks to kill innocents. But it's like history repeating again. 9/11 caused millions of Iraqis killed for what?

Have we learned nothing from the past???

Because I didn't know it @1dayatatime - that's truly awful, thank you for letting me know, I'm always keen to learn more.

And why are public buildings in the UK flying the Israeli flag? Fly the flag of peace if you need to fly anything - but it's outrageous to think we are flying the flag of a country breaking every humanitarian code known to the civilised world!

Elin Jones says the flag should not be flown while both Israelis and Palestinians are suffering.

BBC is reporting that Israel has given everyone in the north of Gaza - 1.1 million people - 24 hours to flee their homes.

The UN is concerned about 'devastating humanitarian consequences'.

NotTerfNorCis · 13/10/2023 07:52

The Guardian reports: Israel’s attacks have killed 1,500 Palestinians, a third of them children. 66000 have been wounded.

Green777 · 13/10/2023 07:54

Israel are committing war crimes openly and with the support of western governments.

Asking 1.1m to move to the south in 24 hours with what’s already happening, people are starving and have no water or means of transportation. Ambulances can’t navigate as it is.

Luckily, normal people can see the hypocrisy and how the world is turning a blind eye to the civilians of Gaza.

Israeli lives and the loss of Israeli lives is 100% a priority.

Hamas are a terrorist organisation, what’s Israel’s excuse for committing war crimes as a ‘democracy’.

It's the UN who described it as impossible, and it is reasonable to point out that 1.1 million people moving through bombed areas, many children, many injured etc just isn't going to happen in 24 hours alone. If more aid could get through they'd have a chance but in all likelihood I think Hamas may just use that for more hostages and human shields.

The Hamas response is wicked. They really just don't care about the people there.

Explain?

Green777 · 13/10/2023 08:01

You’ve asked why the Ukrainians don’t just surrender? @NotTerfNorCis

NotTerfNorCis · 13/10/2023 08:05

It was a rhetorical question. People were asking why the Palestinians 'don't just surrender'. Answer: Ukrainians and Palestinians are both victim populations fighting back. I don't condone what Hamas did last weekend. It was horrific. But what Israel has done and continues to do is also horrific. Many, many more Palestinians are about to die in retribution for what happened last weekend.

Hamas don't. They are ISIS in disguise.

Hamas tells people to stay put after Israeli military tells Gaza city residents to evacuate.

StowOnTheWold · 13/10/2023 08:47

@Parkingt111 Have you posted only half of Jeremy Corbyn's message as I note he says nothing about Hamas?

CagneyAndLazy · 13/10/2023 08:52

I don't think Corbyn, with his history regarding Israel, Jewish people, the Middle East in general, and various terrorist organisations, is anyone to be listened to.

No one asked why "Palestinians" don't surrender.

They said "Hamas".

You are equating all Palestinians with Hamas. You are also equating Ukrainians with Hamas

24 hours to evacuate 1.1million people is not a fair warning. That's virtually impossible!

Hamas tells people to stay put after Israeli military tells Gaza city residents to evacuate.

This is 1 of the propaganda the Israeli government uses to deflect any criticism of their actions. The Palestinian elected Hamas because no-one was listening to them. The west were all in cohorts with Israel.

FOJN · 13/10/2023 09:23

Well instructing the people of northern Gaza to evacuate to the south is an admission by the Israeli government that they know there is no escape route out of Gaza so hopefully they'll stop pretending they care about civilian lives and stop telling the Palestinians to get out.

Telling them to get out or evacuate somewhere else is not fair warning when they have no where to go. I do hope the Israeli government isn't deluded enough to think we will blame the civilian casualties for their own deaths.

Because I didn't know it

Fair enough

But everyone needs to recognise that there are a lot of posters here with misinformation and half stories cleverly worded to influence those new to this topic.

Examples include :
@sadmumuk
""Even if aid is sent Israel has blocked/bombed borders. They have also bombed the airports of Syria to stop anything coming in.""

Now it is factually correct that Israel has blocked and bombed borders. It is also factually correct that Israeli missile have hit Aleppo and Damascus airports.

What is omitted is that this was done in order to stop Iran using those airports to supply weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon to use against Israel.

Or/

The posts on the use of white phosphorus by Israelis and how the use of white phosphorus bombs are banned.

Now it is factually correct that Israel has used white phosphorus and it is also factually correct that the use of WP as an incendiary weapon is banned.

What is deliberately omitted is that Israelis are in fact using white phosphorus as a smoke screen not as an incendiary weapon, as confirmed by the Human Rights Watch, and which is an entirely legitimate use.

www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/m825.htm

We also see as per your own post comments that moving 1.1 million people 10km to southern Gaza in 24 hours is not possible.

Again this is factually correct but omits that Hamas has dismissed the Israeli warning to move south as "fake propaganda" and "not to fall for it", presumably so that they can continue to use Palestinian civilians as human shields.

I realise this is a new topic to many which is why it is so important to point out deliberate misinformation and omissions by such posters targeting and influencing those that are new to this topic . Please be wary of such posters who know they are deliberately doing this.

1dayatatime · 13/10/2023 09:33

@Flying724

"Hamas says don't move - But a Hamas official has described Israel's order for people in the north of Gaza to relocate to the south as "fake propaganda", and has urged citizens there to ignore it"

Source :BBC

Are you claiming that the BBC are now Israeli propaganda ?

FOJN · 13/10/2023 09:35

We also see as per your own post comments that moving 1.1 million people 10km to southern Gaza in 24 hours is not possible.

Again this is factually correct but omits that Hamas has dismissed the Israeli warning to move south as "fake propaganda" and "not to fall for it", presumably so that they can continue to use Palestinian civilians as human shields.

You have admitted that it's not possible so instructions given by Hama's become irrelevant.

If you were trapped in Gaza, under bombardment from Israel, who would you trust?

Green777 · 13/10/2023 09:38

@1dayatatime

What posters should be aware of is you being an apologist

Green777 · 13/10/2023 09:39

Another poster excusing whatever Israel does to civilians with ‘well Hamas has brought it on them so too bad’
