To be against the attacks on Palestine

What happened in Israel was horrific by Hamas. But why are Palestinians being restricted, bombed, dehydrated and deprived of basic needs because of terrorists? Why is the world supporting Israel commiting war crimes?

Hamas are sick fucks to kill innocents. But it's like history repeating again. 9/11 caused millions of Iraqis killed for what?

Have we learned nothing from the past???

There are some awful sick ghouls on this site. Demanding proof of dead children and raped women.

By the same token, let’s all apply the same skepticism to claims of dead and injured people in Gaza. ‘We can’t possibly know it’s true. No one has proven it, the photos and tv images are probably all fake’.

Doesn’t feel right to say that, does it??

But fine when it’s aimed at Jews. We know why. We see the antisemitism in plain sight.

Egypt has been threatened with aids/trucks getting bombed if tried to help.

That is incorrect.

Egypt has indefinitely shut down the Rafah border crossing with Gaza after Israeli attacks. A humanitarian crisis is expected to erupt at any given time, which will likely have a toll on Egypt, a country already undergoing economic turmoil and may be incapable of hosting more refugees.

"Egypt's foreign ministry has asked Israel to stop missile attacks near the Rafah border crossing in Gaza, as strikes are making it difficult to operate."

Israel is not just bombing tunnels whatever it says. The more days pass, the more officials will have to speak up about what is being done. Might be too late by then though...

@Lindtislife You are not helping Palestinians right now with that rhetoric...

SideBob · 12/10/2023 11:36

@Lindtislife you're just taking a load of shite now. I hope you have a nice day.

CagneyAndLazy · 12/10/2023 11:36

@Lindtislife

A group of savage terrorists who take men women and children
so you think that Israel do not have Palestinian hostages held in detention right now?

Are you for real?

A whole field full of straw wouldn't be enough for that level of straw-manning.

Back in the early 1800s there were only a small number of Jews that lived in Palestine. Herzl then determined that this should become a permanent home for Jews and gained political support. No one consulted the Palestinians. Jewish people have since been settling there and occupying more and more land and now aggressively protect the land they have settled on, primarily with US support. I expect the Jewish people will eventually take over the entire former Palestine because they have the military power to do so.

It's not a contest but you cannot ignore history. Forget history, just the week before Hamas' attack Israel had killed 200 Palestinians. Did you see the outrage in the msm? No because you are conditioned to see them worthless terrorists. Even when the Palestinian children are killed the MSM reports them as terrorists who were attacking Israeli army or police. Do you know why Palestinians resist? Because they are caged and deprived of human rights in Gaza. Because to this day Israeli settlers just turn up to their homes and force them out that's it. Have you seen the world map?? There is no Palestine anymore.

I have video proofs of bombings by Israel near rafah border. But please do continue to act blind and deaf.

Did I say that I didn't understand why both sides have acted as they have?

You're coming from a place of being defensive and wanting to argue as opposed to a taking part in a discussion.

The Jewish holiday element is not irrelevant. People were going to be gathering in larger groups. People (innocent people!) would be without warning and technology. You do not understand why Hamas chose this time to target Jews.

You speak with authority. It is not factually correct that Israel knew. There is conflicting information. I will always correct people who speak out as if they know the truth.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/10/2023 12:48

You think Hamas has deprived Palestinians of basic human rights in Gaza for so many years?

To a large extent yes they have. No elections for one. And their particular approach to Israel has meant the blockade that has strangled any hope of growing some sort of independent economy. As the leaders of Gaza they have done an utterly dreadful job, contributed to keeping the place in poverty and brought wave after wave of bombing and destruction onto the heads of a helpless population.

And believe me I am far from rejoicing yet another outbreak of bombing, it's a sickening sight. I just think it's bullshit to whitewash out the role Hamas has played in events and how much of the responsibility they bear, not only right now but for the overall situation in Gaza.

Whatever your views on the state of Israel, it now exists and isn't going to go anwhere so a bunch of rhetoric about settler-colonialists is completely unhelpful. The Palestinians need leaders that are willing to accept its existence and be prepared to live peacefully alongside it. The Israelis certainly need a more moderate leader than Netanyahu for successful longer-term negotiations.

But with Hamas it's going to be rinse and repeat and waves of bombings and mass civilian casualties every few years.

Collective punishment is absolutely barbaric- there is absolutely no justification for this

No, you really don't need to have more than one point of view to have a discussion. That's why it's called having a discussion, to hear varying points of view from different people and be exposed to different sides. You have to be willing to trytounderstand different points of view, but no, you don't need to have more than one point of view to have a discussion.

As I said, you're just looking to argue about the issue as opposed to listening. There are a lot of very knowledgeable, informed people on these threads, you're not one of them. I'm not overly knowledgeable on the issue either but then I'm not the one arguing with lots of other posters like I have something of great value to say on the subject.

No, they’re not. You’re suffering from selective reading and bias.

On this thread alone, you are interacting with Jewish people who are against the Israeli government’s actions and who are horrified by the way Gaza’s innocent civilians are being treated. I am aware this doesn’t fit with your rhetoric though.
