To be against the attacks on Palestine

Threemangoes · 11/10/2023 13:42

What happened in Israel was horrific by Hamas. But why are Palestinians being restricted, bombed, dehydrated and deprived of basic needs because of terrorists? Why is the world supporting Israel commiting war crimes?

Hamas are sick fucks to kill innocents. But it's like history repeating again. 9/11 caused millions of Iraqis killed for what?

Have we learned nothing from the past???

Hearsay seems to suit your narrative very well though when you want it to.

I am deeply uncomfortable with questioning whether women are or are not being raped. In any other scenario, we would not be discussing this. We know men rape and sexually assault women, so in war, this isn’t going to be any less likely.

Are you denying that Israelis have been killed? We have first person testimony. We don't need to see photos of dead children to know that children have died, thank you very much indeed.

Your style of argument is quite bizarre op.... anyone who disagrees or challenges you is met by claims that they must be happy to see innocent children being killed.

To be fair I’ve seen plenty of pro Israel posters posting the same way - that anyone who disagrees or challenges must support Hamas and be happy to see beheaded babies and raped women being paraded in the streets.

are YOU denying that Palestinians have been killed also?

Er no? We all know civilians have died.

You're dismissing true events as hearsay. Are you quite alright? Why do you think we need to see photos of people to know that they're dead?

StowOnTheWold · 12/10/2023 11:06

@Lindtislife

Would it be better if the deaths on both sides were equalised? Just to make it fair?

As far as the children are concerned, maybe it’s in the interests of your version of international law for 380 Israeli children to be killed to bring the numbers up to 400?
What method would you propose to make it fair?

canwetalkaboutcake · 12/10/2023 11:06

@Lindtislife what sort of proof do you want? Even if Hamas uploaded graphic videos of them raping Israel women, people would still deny they are authentic and say they are fake propaganda.

But there HAVE been videos of semi naked (presumably dead) Israeli women's bodies on Hamas trucks being spat on and sat on. And there was a video of a hostage with blood all over her trousers, I think we can all guess what has happened there.

Rape has always happened in times of war, I'm not sure why you think Hamas wouldn't do this?

And yes, Israel has also committed bad acts both in present and past times. And yes I think the current response, punishing the children and the innocent people of Gaza is appalling.
But that doesn't mean you can deny and excuse what Hamas has done and say the rapes and murders didn't happen.

@SomeCatFromJapan

Exactly, you return the hostages, and you get water, electricity, food and fuel. You won’t die. Then we try to establish some semblance of normalization back in the area and go back to how things were.

What, that’s not enough for you? You’re still here aren’t you? We’re tolerating your unseemly presence in our liberal, progressive country. You’re existing, mostly. What more could you possibly want?

Shut the hell up and take your fucking scraps.

You tolerate their existence?

Your liberal proggressive country?

I have lost the mental strenght to even try to speak up for Palestinians. Nothing is gonna stop what is about to happen?

Enjoy your massacre of Palestinian babies. I hope after that international tribunals will be held, both for Hamas and Israel and that it won't be swept under the rug necause it's gonna be very uncomfortable to look back at what some are allow to happen actively or passively, some with drool at the mouth to see dead Palestinians.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/10/2023 09:55

i mean, Israel can just like stop oppressing them and like stop killing innocent civillians and children and then like maybe they wouldn't take hostages

There was a bit more done than simply "take hostages" over the weekend, as you know. Whatever the background history, the current events have been firmly triggered by Hamas atrocities. And yes returning the hostages in return for actually getting services restored to the desperate population they supposedly govern would be a good first start. But they'd rather bring death down on their heads as a fucking PR exercise.

That is what people don't get. Palestinians have had their houses raided, families killed, teenage girls raped, children burned alive for years and no one did anything.

And that still don't justify what happened last weekend.

But now, everyone understands Israel's reaction and basically let them do what they want, cheering on them, while sometimes actually usong pictures of Palestinians being abused by the IDF and passing it as Israeli's suffering.

canwetalkaboutcake · 12/10/2023 11:13

proof would be that IDF shows evidence of these claims, which will need to be done to justify their recent actions
like i said in my previous post, would you find it acceptable for me to make claims that Israel has been raping Palestinian women without proof?
in your opinion is it likely that IDF has been raping Palestinians, since rape is a natural part of war ?

@Lindtislife yes it probably is likely to have happened on both sides, as unfortunately rape and violence against women is prevalent across the globe, war or no war. No point denying it.

SideBob · 12/10/2023 11:16

*The claims of rape and child killing are points that are consistently brought up on this website to justify Israel's retaliation ,
when neither of these claims have been proven.

If children have died in Israel it is likely because of the missile attacks and not an alleged massacre,

the number of Israeli children dying haven't even been confirmed yet, so there can be as little as 20 Israeli children dead, for all we know, *

@Lindtislife as above, you deny that anyone has even died, not just rape. Which is odd really, because you believe other reports that suit your belief system.

And although rape can't be proven, it is likely. A group of savage terrorists who take men women and children are somehow too restrained to commit rape? It's a very real risk.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/10/2023 11:20

@Lindtislife There has been widespread coverage of the massacres at the two kibbutz, which very clearly includes children and babies.
You're blatantly denying something that happened. Why?

Comedycook · 12/10/2023 11:22

KimberleyClark · 12/10/2023 10:59

AmIAutumnalNow · 11/10/2023 14:12

Why would they arrive here?

What about their neighbours, including Egypt with whom they share a border?

Egypt doesn't want them.

Egypt has indefinitely shut down the Rafah border crossing with Gaza after Israeli attacks. A humanitarian crisis is expected to erupt at any given time, which will likely have a toll on Egypt, a country already undergoing economic turmoil and may be incapable of hosting more refugees.

CagneyAndLazy · 12/10/2023 11:25

@Lindtislife

If children have died in Israel it is likely because of the missile attacks and not an alleged massacre, that has been claimed by Israel forces

Yet more appalling dismissals of Israelis' suffering.

The coroner has confirmed that babies have been beheaded and otherwise mutilated.

The BBC has reported it this morning.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/10/2023 11:26

@CagneyAndLazy It's starting to remind me of Holocaust denial.

SomeCatFromJapan · 12/10/2023 11:26

@CagneyAndLazy It's starting to remind me of Holocaust denial.

I was about the post exactly the same thing.

It's absolutely appalling, isn't it?

Even if there was no proof, the starting point should never have been to dismiss the reports.
