To be against the attacks on Palestine

1000 replies

Threemangoes · 11/10/2023 13:42

What happened in Israel was horrific by Hamas. But why are Palestinians being restricted, bombed, dehydrated and deprived of basic needs because of terrorists? Why is the world supporting Israel commiting war crimes?

Hamas are sick fucks to kill innocents. But it's like history repeating again. 9/11 caused millions of Iraqis killed for what?

Have we learned nothing from the past???

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are stateless and don’t hold passports, they don’t have sophisticated bunkers or buildings designed to withhold blasts, they have no exit routes

They live in shot conditions but some of the responsibility has to lie with their shit gov

Do you know what the general population in Israel wants? How?

According to this site the aggressors of this attack want peace but the victims want revenge...

sunshinesupermum · 11/10/2023 19:08

fioritura exactly how do you know it's Israelis leaving? There any many tourists waiting to leave. Israelis stay to fight for their homeland. They also have nowhere to go and will take revenge on Hamas.

WarmWinterSun · 11/10/2023 19:10

I think Israel are in a difficult position. The Gaza strip is riddled with weapons, tunnels and terrorists intending to use them. Hamas is dedicated to the destruction of Israel. I can understand why they feel the need to do more to protect themselves after the evil massacres and abductions Hamas has just carried out against Israelis.

I think if French terrorists came and murdered babies and elderly people in the uk it’s highly unlikely we’d respond by saying ‘oh we must make sure French utilities and services aren’t disrupted by our retaliation’.
Its a horrendous situation and the Israeli government are by no means blameless but after this massacre I think they had no viable option but to retaliate. To do nothing would pave the way for more massacres.

Retaliating means attacking military targets. Intentionally targeting civilians is a war crime. That's not an opinion. It IT a war crime as declared by the United Nations and the International Criminal Court.

Flowersfield · 11/10/2023 19:11

@Teder the former defence Minister and Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army confirmed that the Prime Minister knew about the attacks beforehand. He CHOSE to do nothing about it. Look it up. And you want to know WHY he chose not to do anything so that the "retaliation" could be justified. But hey ho never mind that the Palestinians have been tortured for decades.

The Prime Minister himself explicitly denied this. Who to believe?

Where has it been confirmed?
Are you aware the attack was on a religious Jewish holiday where those who adhere to the guidelines were without access to phones and TVs and other technology?

A line of militants on motorbikes

Egypt warned Israel days before Hamas struck - US - BBC News

But PM Benjamin Netanyahu describes any claim Israel received a specific warning as "totally fake news".

@Teder oh yes the guy who has for years imposed Apartheid on Palestinians and literally has blood on his hands MUST be telling the truth.

SkinnyMalinkyLankyLegs · 11/10/2023 19:22

I don't support either side, it's awful hearing what's happening to people. However if say Spain invaded Britain, beheaded babies, kidnapped and paraded elderly women with Alzheimers on trucks, opened fire on a festival of young people, raped women and paraded their naked bodies.....and then I saw the Spaniards dancing, laughing and celebrating in the streets....then I'd probably want the ultimate revenge tbh.

The beheading claims have not been confirmed or verified. I am not sure rape has been either. That doesn't diminish the terrible violence of Hamas' actions - but it's important to be accurate.

Why would Netanyahu purposefully put hundreds of his civilians on the line when he never has before? Interested to know your background and knowledge of Israeli government and politics particularly with regards to the current prime minister and his policy and the protection of Israeli citizens.

I have read threads on MN where people are justifying this attack on Palestine in the name of Hamas.
They agree with depriving Palestinians of food, water and power in order to stop them from attacking Israel. I want to cry!

You've "read threads on MN..."??

Really?!

Are you accidentally missing the bit where you posted disgusting, victim blaming shite on those threads and multiple posts of yours had to be deleted by MNHQ?

Fucking sickening.

Tbh I think wanting revenge would be a natural part of the human condition. Most sitting at home pretending to be Nelson Mandela are full of shit. However, that wouldn’t mean that doing so would be either effective or moral.

Israel has control over Gaza - the import of goods is limited. Only since 2010 has very limited amounts of wood, cement and iron been allowed into the Gaza Strip as they wish to destroy buildings rather than enable the building of stronger homes and bunkers. Before that building materials were banned - along with many, many other items such as notebooks and cattle. Obviously the borders are blockaded, but Israel also has control of the airspace and waters so no boats allowed with imports to improve quality of life, no fishing allowed even.

I'm joking but ...Jewish people would make a great place out of this given half the chance. The foundations have already been laid. Plenty of Russian Israeli citizens to give a kick-start as well.

Good grief. Literally send them to the ends of the earth 😬

@fioritura as I said some responsibility lies with the shit governance of Hammas.

What’s Israel supposed to do? As far as they are concerned the whole lot is polluted and dangerous.

'The whole lot is polluted and dangerous.' We've heard that before. That way lies genocide.

You mean the daily fear that every Palestinian has felt during the 57 year occupation (and way beyond) simply because of the ethnicity they were born as? Are you aware of the well documented and proven atrocities that Israel has committed against innocent Palestinian men, women, children, babies and unborn babies simply for daring to exist as non-Jewish people, or do you just not care?

Northbright · 11/10/2023 19:48

I haven't read the whole thread so forgive me if I have missed a point or two. But if Hamas terrorists carried out the attacks. And Israel are rightly seeking revenge on Hamas. Then if Hamas cared one jot for the Palestinian people and wanted to stop this revenge in the form of the horrible bombing they would give up the terrorists that committed the atrocities. That would possibly end the immediate need for the Israelis to continue to bomb Palestine to try and punish Hamas; if the perpetrators have been identified and given up. Obviously Hamas wouldn't voluntarily give the terrorists to Israel for trial but perhaps to the Hague or a neutral country. Its happened before in other disputes. But I suspect Hamas doesn't really care enough for the ordinary Palestinian people to want to stop the bombing that much, tragically.
