It's not half as salacious, possibly a bit dry and dull to most people.

But it's fucking constitutional dynamite

@Lastchancechica spot on. Thank goodness there are still people like you around. I am sick to death of this conspiracy crap. MN is getting worse and worse for it.

Lol. I skulk around enough corners of the internet to remember when the conspiracy accusations were of cover up of covid and that ‘they’ wouldn’t tell the truth that there was a big, very real, problem. That abruptly turned around when it was clear that it was real, to anything related to covid was evidence of mass manipulation and ‘them’ controlling us.

You can bet your last penny that if overlord lizard himself rocked up on the news at 10 catching flies with their tongue and informing us of plans for world domination the same crowd would be denying the evidence in front of their eyes and calling it a hoax.

It’s a strange mixture of inability to cope with reality when reality is shit and ego driven contrary-ism.

They promised me Bill Gates would implant a 5g chip in my brain if I had the Covid vaccine. Why the hell do I still have to stand outside Greggs to get my bloody mobile app working??!! 😡

@Secondwindplease

You cannot reform the courts with a corrupt gov

Then your argument is pretty circular isn’t it, or is that the point?

"
Nobody is saying this, though. The idea is rather that when there are big stories, the government lets otherwise headline news into the press so that it gets overlooked. Or perhaps sometimes there will be a big story which isn't time sensitive, like the Brand one, and the papers have some discretion about when to release the story.

Nobody is saying that they did the investigation specifically to bury this. It's just that timing in newspaper stories has always been used to political advantage. When a seemingly trivial story is being pushed for an entire week, it's hardly illuminati level conspiracy to ask yourself why that is."

Exactly!

Brand isn't important, he's a nasty little creature who needs to face justice.

In the meantime, nobody bothered about rampant corruption from a party that could again, win the next election?

I don't believe that the rot stopped when Boris was ejected. I don't want my country to be corrupt. I want a proper, functioning government. A proper, functioning gov could root out sexism in the Met. Instead, we have corruption top to bottom.

Whether it's civil servants feeling that they need to appeal to The Palace for help or the Met being riddled with misogyny, it's the SAME problem.

This is an OLD story op.
Years old.
Inspired by Laura’s chaos documentary going over old ground again. This is nothing new and it’s been wheeled out to support Labours pre election campaign.

How can anyone not know this?

How dare you reduce multiple rapes to a mere cover story for a political campaign? Seriously it’s disgusting.

Covidwoes · 19/09/2023 09:23

Also, why isn't RB suing for libel if this is all a conspiracy? 🙄🙄

I think there's a reason this approach has been used, perhaps to encourage other victims to speak out.

Willmafrockfit · 19/09/2023 09:25

no, it is a day to release the bad BJ news, not a day to advertise RB news to cover up the BJ story

Don’t be ridiculous, it’s been used successfully many times before.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 19/09/2023 09:25

Why the hell do I still have to stand outside Greggs to get my bloody mobile app working??!!

You can tell the ones in Waitrose who haven't had it, that's for sure. Five minutes to get a signal to pay by phone.😄Gates didn't get me, I'm too clever for him, I use cash.

Covidwoes · 19/09/2023 09:23

Also, why isn't RB suing for libel if this is all a conspiracy? 🙄🙄

He's probably trying all sorts behind the scenes. There may be other developments in terms of victims and/or potential prosecution too.

RollingStream · 19/09/2023 09:26

Even it that was the only news story about not many people would be interested. Boris repeats has been done to death already.
The RB news has coincided with the Kanye West news getting too repetitive. Celeb news is good for clickbait so will generally run one after the other rather than parallel

Willmafrockfit · 19/09/2023 09:26

just realised this has been said

piscofrisco · 19/09/2023 09:26

Yep. The timing of it is....odd.

LondonLass91 · 19/09/2023 09:27

Blinkingbonkers · 19/09/2023 08:15

Personally I wouldn’t argue that there may be some truth to the RB allegations….however, was the story purposefully dropped at a time to distract from other things? Absolutely. I’m more worried that people don’t realise this is the power wielded by the media.

I agree. RB has been vocal of late on his YouTube channel about cluster bombs and the west's influence in the war in Ukraine. It absolutely feels like a stitch up. I don't automatically believe a documentary full of actors stating allegations. I also feel it is impossible for him to get a fair trial now, should it proceed to court.

IncomingTraffic · 19/09/2023 09:27

Can we all stop colluding in brand’s PR fantasy that people knowing there is evidence that he’s a sleazy bastard who has harmed women is somehow akin to events like 9/11 (which are viewed as good days to bury problem announcements)?

Willmafrockfit · 19/09/2023 09:27

i dont think the investigators channel 4 and sunday times would appreciate the title of this thread

AutumnCrow · 19/09/2023 09:28

Inkpotlover · 19/09/2023 08:59

Oh don’t worry, they are going for the others too. It’s just a matter of time and working out how to legally get round NDAs.

Indeed, @Inkpotlover. Stories about 'the other predators' are all over the news. Just google 'Sara Pascoe + predators'. Pages of coverage.

Are there injunctions, too, as well as NDAs, does anyone know?

Tell that to Weinstein. And Ghislaine. And Rolf. And all the rest who the justice system only actually seriously pursued after they were exposed by the media.

Covidwoes · 19/09/2023 09:22

@Lastchancechica spot on. Thank goodness there are still people like you around. I am sick to death of this conspiracy crap. MN is getting worse and worse for it.

It’s absolutely woeful. I guess they hope to play on what they perceive to be ‘mummy brains’ or those that don’t have the wherewithal or interest to follow current affairs and will simply buy into the BS.

Passing this old story about Johnson as a new story is bad enough. To then say an alleged serial rapist is a cover story for it not only minimises conveniently the suffering of the victims and takes the attention elsewhere. It also serves a political purpose.

The corrupted lies and misinformation is staggering.

bookworm14 · 19/09/2023 09:30

Oh good Lord. The government don’t give a shit about Brand’s ill-informed views on Ukraine or any other issue. Get a grip.

TarquinOliverNimrod · 19/09/2023 09:30

donquixotedelamancha · 19/09/2023 07:13

Yeah sure. Two separate media organisations did 4 years of investigation to bury the fact that Boris Johnson is a cunt.

I genuinely don't understand how people who think the world works this way cope with life.

'The shop's out of milk again. Oh no, the Illuminati must be restricting supply to distract us from the alien landings'

This.

The tin hat brigade is out in force today 🙄

madamreign · 19/09/2023 09:30

The civil service asking the palace for help is not an old story.

If it is, can you tell me when it was released?
