To not be surprised to see threads on LGB being questioned now?!

Just typed a reply and the thread disappeared quickly (makes a change as when it's trans related ones they stay?!)
So it's not a TAAT, it's just to say that after all the anti trans rhetoric you see on here sometimes, it comes as absolutely no surprise that there are now more threads attacking lesbian and gay couples ( not natural was the phrase used)
Not to mention one still on the go as far as I'm aware that refers to LGBTQ as "special rainbow people"
YABU you're imagining things
YANBU things seem to be ramping up against LGBT people in general
(I say this as someone who's straight and not trans)

male skin and moves like a man. How curious!! Could you elaborate more?

Could you explain is it about those statements you don’t understand?

How does a “man move”? And are there no women who “move” in such a manner?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 16/09/2023 11:52

Regards the OP, the homophobia of genderists is really quite obvious. MN is a very broad site and not all posters who comment on these threads are gender critical feminists, so you get posts from others as well if threads are popular.

Sueveneers · 16/09/2023 11:53

It's interesting that some of these trans activists with an agenda come on here and say Mumsnet is 'transphobic' but never have any proof. It's 'oh, um, well, it was, but the thread was deleted'.

BULLSHIT! The thread never existed in the first place. They're lying, and they're resorting to dirty rotten tricks.

BaronessEllarawrosaurus · 16/09/2023 11:54

OK so your position tandora is that there is no intrinsic difference between men and women other than their genitals, therefore men and women can switch between the 2 genders freely because it makes no difference. We are never going to agree. Homosexuals are same sex attracted not same gender, denying that same sex attraction is acceptable in all situations is homophobic. Denying that women can tell who is a man and who is a women biologically is just wrong, we can tell.

Look up male gait. Men and women walk differently. Due to pelvic size and leg limb size. This is well-known to those who bother to be informed.

lifeturnsonadime · 16/09/2023 11:50

So sorry how do you think that a person's sexual preference can be a reflection of prejudice?

Do you agree that with Nancy Kelley who likened issues around the cotton ceiling to sexual racism or do you reject that?

So sorry how do you think that a person's sexual preference can be a reflection of prejudice

Do you really think that prejudice has no impact on sexual preference??? You don’t think that racism, ableism and fat phobia influences the ways in which black, fat, disabled women are often culturally represented as not sexually attractive/ desirable ? What about constructs of masculinity and cultural representations of short men?

Tartareistasty · 16/09/2023 11:56

Not being funny, but let's not pretend that if you see two people walking you will not know which one is men and which is womanConfused even if both have skirts. 99% you will know.
Stride, shoulder and arm movements, hip movements. I mean like...

The fact that this descended into sketch Southpark couldn't even make up probably with "well what are the biological differences making someone attracted to women or men then?" is laughable yet sad.

Can no woman ever have a “male gait”?

Tartareistasty · 16/09/2023 11:57

I feel like tandora is purposely confusing to get reactions for screenshots or something

Sueveneers · 16/09/2023 11:58

🤦🏼‍♀️😭😭😭

You don't pay attention and aren't very well informed are you.

Proof of transphobia is all over this thread!

it’s the overt homophobia that gets deleted.

It would be difficult due to pelvic width size..... 🤦🏼‍♀️

Talk about deliberately missing the point.

I mean sexual orientation and same sex attraction when I say sexual preference. Not weight or skin colour but you know that. The fact you are comparing same sex attraction to other preferences is homophobia of itself.

Why do you keep avoiding questions about Nancy Kelley's position?

There is NO 'transphobia' all over this thread, stop lying. There is NOT...ONE.... example of actual transphobia. Not one.

@Tartareistasty They're certainly of low intelligence and have been living under a rock, either that or goading.

@catgirl1976

I think a lot of people questioning the TRA agenda ARE LGB
That's kind of tied in with my point though?
As in, the T has been separated from LGB on here and elsewhere as in a "look, it's them, not us?"
They see themselves separate.
When it comes down to it, yes, a lot of people will be with you (general you) as they don't agree with the T
Doesn't make it right though. An attack on LGBT rights all seems to be an attack on women as well ( bodily autonomy, whether it be surrogacy laws being reduced, trans men (as in born female ) being portrayed as vulnerable little children even when they're grown adults.
I'm not surprised to see more threads questioning being lesbian or gay recently was my point

Or why is the T lumped in with the LGB?

Can you define gender?

I don’t know or care who Nancy Kelly is and I’m not responsible for what she has, hasn’t said.

If you want to ask me a question about a substantive issue please do.

Defiantjazz · 16/09/2023 12:02

Yes, so where is the basis for "trans" then? What is the material difference between a male who identifies as a woman and other males? And why should women see them as anything other than a male invading women's space?

One thing I’ve never understood. If gender is not defined by biological sex then it is something completely different yes? So then why get so het up about reference being made to your biological sex?

You can’t go into that changing room because you’re biologically a man. Why is that a problem if you’re a woman anyway?

Sueveneers · 16/09/2023 12:02

Tandora · 16/09/2023 12:01

Oh Lord.

Exactly. Now, prove this supposed 'transphobia'.

Oh, that's right. You CAN'T. Because it does.not.exist.

Can no woman ever have a “male gait”?

Goodness me. Have you done ANY research on this at all?

A ski instructor told me about the Q angle because it makes it slightly harder for women to keep their skis parallel and not catch an edge.

Boomboom22 · 16/09/2023 12:02

Tandora is so far gone they now deny the existence of womans pelvises and hormones if the truly don't know about gaits and skin. Surely they are taking the piss to bring sunlight to the absurd homophobia and misogyny of the genderist movement? No one can be that far in denial about reality.

Tandora · 16/09/2023 12:03

Sueveneers · 16/09/2023 12:02

Exactly. Now, prove this supposed 'transphobia'.

Oh, that's right. You CAN'T. Because it does.not.exist.

Every time someone has referred to “men who identify as women”, that is transphobia. Every time someone has referred to trans ideology that is transphobia. Every time someone has presented trans people as a group as sexual predators and a threat to women as a group, that is transphobia.

Sueveneers · 16/09/2023 12:04

Boomboom22 they're either brainwashed beyond all reason and lack any biological and anatomical education, or they're goading. I can't figure out which. Or maybe both.
