Wallpapering - llama's feet. Aibu?

Employed a professional decorator to hang this cute llama wallpaper in my loo, but when he'd gone and I was sitting "on the throne" I noticed he'd hung it in such a way that the top line where the wall meets the ceiling is a line of disembodied feet.

Aibu to think he should have cut the paper so that the top line depicts whole llamas?

Ham. If there were more kinds of llama I’d be more bothered that you couldn’t see them ,but since it will be more of the same I wouldn’t be fussed.
(first world problems, not enough variety of llama on my wallpaper )

Yes, I thought you hang wallpaper from the top and would always put a full picture at the top. I think a line of heads at the bottom makes more sense than a load of random legs at the top.

I'm glad you like the wallpaper OP. I think, however, there was no way of hanging it that was going to avoid some level of disembodiment.

No-one will notice.

I wallpapered a couple of weeks ago and the first bit was ripped and I lost a good bit of each roll as a result

I think it looks better like that. It has more of the sense of an unending llama panorama.

This wouldn't have occurred to me. As long as the widths all match up properly with no gaps and with the patterns following each other, and it's stuck to the walls smoothly with no air bubbles, I wouldn't have thought it was odd for llama feet to be at the ceiling. I've seen some godawful wallpapering jobs and this isn't one of them.

I have giraffe wallpaper... Restored our downstairs loo from previous Shoe Cupboard status during Covid. It's fab. Dc still call it The Spider Toilet.... Never mind.

That's a really shoddy job, sorry. A professional decorator should have at least discussed it with you.

DH does our wallpapering and is fussy about such details.

When I saw the picture I also thought of coving. We bought the lightweight sort and put it up ourselves. You just need the cutting thing for the corners (mitre).

He should have started from the top but coving will cover it.
