Ltb.

Not joking. He won’t change.

AhNowTed · 05/09/2023 19:49

My son wouldn't be so disrespectful, never mind some boyfriend.

MrsPositivity1 · 05/09/2023 19:55

I’d be bloody furious

L3andlosingit · 05/09/2023 20:03

He may do it now begrudgingly. That will stop if you ever have kids. Mine used to ‘take turns’ to ‘be fair’ before kids now I’m lucky if he cooks dinner once a week and does the pans once a month. I am not kidding. I have never known him voluntarily clean any other part of the house. He does not even clean kitchen counters after he cooks. I am nearly two decades in. Trapped by kids and today’s shit wages and high housing costs. One day I will be free!

InSpainTheRain · 05/09/2023 20:07

I'd take it as an insight into your future which includes constant cleaning up after him if you stay together long term.

I tell my fiancé if he shaves in the bathroom, he is not allowed to come back out until he's erased all evidence of it 😆

This is the rule in my house, too. If I can tell you've used the bathroom/kitchen, you've not cleaned it well enough!

Get a grip - minor issue

Yes, Mrs pick me. Everyone should be as cool as you and accept the bare minimum from their partners.

dcthatsme · 05/09/2023 21:16

Haha good idea to make it clear now or you’ll end up with a lifetime of dirty bathrooms and WCs if you stay together. (Speaking from bitter experience here 😳🤣🤪)

DunePeyton · 05/09/2023 22:35

However, if a male popped by and showed his disgust at the huge rat festering in the shower plug hole, that would be a “cute gift” to leave rather than a sign of disrespect…

ButterCrackers · 05/09/2023 22:46

How disgusting - bet he can’t use a toilet cleanly either. I hate to think what his bathroom looks like. He cleans up the mess or that’s it because you don’t clear up after him. What a cf.

Annemaria · 06/09/2023 06:30

My husband leaves worse. Just doesn’t seem to see the mess he leaves- also in the kitchen. Won’t be told, has no shame.

Hibiscrubbed · 06/09/2023 08:36

You we’re waaaaaay too nice to the disgusting prick. Wonder who he thought clean it…the mere woman, obviously. Because women love cleaning, don’t they?

ChristmasFluff · 06/09/2023 09:26

OP, he has shown you exactly what to expect from him if you stay together long-term.

Hee won't 'see' any mess he makes and you will end up being one of those women who comes on here moaning that 'my husband doesn't help around the house.'

I'd seriously dump him because of this.

Have you taught your family to clean up after themselves or do you believe it's your role as a woman....unless you're a man of course?

LuckySantangelo35 · 06/09/2023 10:58

@Pollythenurse

you think she should clean up after him then do you?
And do so without complaint and with a smile on her face like a good little woman?

Jeannie88 · 06/09/2023 16:19

Welcome to the world of messy men! Before I get jumped on for saying this, I'm half joking but me and mates often joke about the clothes on the floor, washing put in front of the machine, post shave hairs, bringing coats all the way through the house after passing the hooks to lay over chairs, socks left wherever taken off...

Kazz36 · 08/09/2023 15:18

Same as 🫣
Thankfully it's only a bit of hair!

sassyclassyandsmartassy · 16/09/2023 22:06

DH did this last weekend, after 10 years together what possessed him to think it was acceptable was beyond me (DH is super clean and picks up after himself normally). When he got home from a day of golf with his mates he was treated to a ‘what the f**k happened in the bathroom this morning’. I am a lot of things, but I am sure as hell not his maid and you are right to make that shit clear from the get go…. Otherwise you’ve just learned why he isn’t the man for you!!

Testina · 16/09/2023 22:07

Mummaof1boyx · 03/09/2023 23:04

No, I’d half cleaned it up!

Why?

3 men in the house here and I wouldn't tolerate that for a second, and they know it.

I'd be doing them zero favours if I did.
