lost count of the amount of my wife’s hair I’ve dredged out of shower and sink traps over the years. grimmer than this.

That's disgusting have you tried a hair trap? Why doesn't she do it?

This isn't a man I would ever move in with. Honestly this would be the end for me. There's no way he 'didn't see' it - he just expected you to clean it.

I think you’re massively over reacting. He can rinse the sink though, even my 19yr old does that. I normally have to go over it, but he at least gets a cup of water and tries to wash it down the drain

Why hasn't he been taught to clean up after himself? Please tell me he checks the loo and cleans it if he needs too?
Does he not have his turn to do housework?

They’re are some really disgusting men out there. I torment my hubby that he’s anal sometimes about cleanliness, but I’m kinda thankful he is.

He’s a project manager so works away a lot on outdoor sites with porta loos, he is so disgusted with the hygiene of the men he works with. The worst one is he notices hardly any of them wash their hands when they’ve been for a poo 🤢, and even though there’s a toilet brush they never clean their skidders.

You need to pick your battles. If you are going to get upset when men do all these annoying things your life will be miserable.

I did the training approach and it never worked in family or OH. I did nagging. Does nothing.
I just don't sweat it anymore and just deal with it. Otherwise I would be depressed and suicidal.

Those beard bibs are actually great though, DH always uses one. Not sure it would be very helpful for chest shaving though.

He’s 34. I said ‘darling look at the state of the sink I’m really unhappy that you left it like that. Can you clean it up please as you have left it in a worse state than when you came to use it’

That should have been your AIBU, that he got annoyed when asked to tidy up. Whoever makes the mess tidies it up, not the magic cleaning fairy. I think if it was a first time offence I wouldn’t have been annoyed, until he got pissy about cleaning it up. Then I would have got pretty pissed off, because who the fuck does he think will?
