Worst damage your kid has ever done

Currently counting down the days til the DC go back to school. The constant mess is fraying the ends of my sanity. What's the worst mess or damage your DC has ever done.

Worst for me is my toddler DC did a massive poo on the floor and when I went to get stuff to clean it up with they repeatedly rammed their vtech toot toot elephant through it. Absolute carnage and huge tears when I wanted to throw it away. No it was. Not the carpet but getting all the poo out of the elephant and sanitising it.

Bring on September

Used a rock to write his name on the side of my brand new car, I was polishing the otherside of the car at the time and thought he was chalking on the floor. He was very very proud when he showed me.

Sandysandwich · 23/08/2023 19:52

When my son was six he was given a large collection of marbles by his grandad, who has told him that the bag may need a bit of a clean as it was old and dusty.

Before I got home he had already put the entire canvas bag in the washing machine, with the several hundred mables still inside.
That broke the absoloute shit out of our washing machine and the pipes round the back and flooded the hall.

ladygindiva · 23/08/2023 19:54

My six year old drew on my piano. I am beyond furious.

Spendonsend · 23/08/2023 19:55

Wrote a message in the car door with a stone.

Stood on a chair and pissed into the back of my new TV. Little fecker.

🤣🤣🤣

Ponderingwindow · 23/08/2023 19:57

Worst I can think of is some thinking putty in the carpet and a broken hinge on a laptop. Really pretty tiny compared to most of these

weegiemum · 23/08/2023 19:58

When my son was 3 he decided to lob rocks at the roof of the cottage next to our house, that we rent out as a holiday let.

One rock went through the velux window and landed in the kitchen sink. Luckily we had no tourists that week.

Summerpai · 23/08/2023 20:00

The damage could have been a lot, lot worse... DS was 6 at the time and was a page boy at his aunties wedding. There were candles in varses on the floor at the side of the aisle and as he was walking down he accidentally walked into one knocking it over and smashing it😳 Luckily the place didn’t end up in flames

my82my · 23/08/2023 20:01

Landlord was due to visit so I could have my deposit back and move house a few days later.. 30 minutes before visit my 4 year old wrote his name in marker pen over every wall and radiator in his bedroom.

Same property.. went away for Christmas.. phone call from my neighbour that water was pouring into there front room from my ceiling. Same 4 year old had jammed one of the balls from his ball pit into the balcony drain, hence the flooding.

New house.. shared garden. Left 5 year old and his friend playing in the garden while I did dinner.. in they trot covered in mud looking super pleased with themselves at all the sodding food they had "found".. They'd dug up the neighbours entire vegetable patch.

It was a long time ago now, but kids fighting getting into the car while I was locking the front door. Kicked off the handbrake. Car sailed down the drive, across the road and demolished opposite neighbours front wall. £3000 to fix the car and £3000 to rebuild the wall if I remember rightly (thankfully insurance covered most of it). The thought it could have hit a passerby still gives me the terrors.

You win 😮😱😬

UndercoverCop · 23/08/2023 20:04

@wutheringkites

Ruined my pelvic floor.

😂

Sickofchangingmyfuckingusername · 23/08/2023 20:06

Mine hardly registers by comparison. Precious son, about 18mo, managed to get hold of a biro. Hadn’t realised how gifted he was until he drew a perfect circle on the brand new, cream carpet. Of course, it wouldn’t come out. Still it was just a carpet and clear evidence of son’s amazing talent, so hey ho.

4 years later, son notices biro circle on floor and says in horror, ‘Mum, look!’ He was most concerned that someone had ruined the carpet. Couldn’t believe it was him!

Dunnoburt · 23/08/2023 20:08

Decided that whilst doing her Tae Kwon Do lesson "virtually" on Teams that it would be a brilliant idea to take a mouthful of water and spit it on my laptop keyboard.........luckily still works if I use an on screen keyboard (not ideal).....so many things but that one springs to mind instantly......oh......wrote her name with a heart at the end in biro on "gran gran and grandads" very expensive computer table......and it was absolutely 💯 not her......I could go on.....and on....and on.....I'd love to know what goes through her head when she thinks this is a "good idea".....

I'm confused. Can we edit posts now?

ignores point of thread as read in absolute terror!

ShutTheDoorBabe · 23/08/2023 20:13

Dropped a corn on the cob spike thing into the detergent drawer in the washer and it got lodged in the pipe.

Juice on my MacBook. Fml

BlueBlubbaWhale · 23/08/2023 20:17

Yes you can edit now but not if you're on the app.

My daughter who was about 6/7 at the time was spinning around holding a small but heavy metal keyring torch thing her dad given her She accidentally let go and it flew into the tv.

MelonsOnSaleAgain · 23/08/2023 20:20

6 year old. Hair chalk. Absolutely brand new laid that day light coloured carpet. 😭

Whatsthepoint1234 · 23/08/2023 20:21

Ds1 has punched numerous holes in walls around the house (they are shit tbf) and peeled of the lovely (£65 per roll) wallpaper in his room.

Ds2 knocked over a can of paint on our again expensive parquet flooring.

Children are way too expensive.

Takentomybed · 23/08/2023 20:22

Sssudio · 23/08/2023 18:51

Scratched his name in 12 in high letters on the side of our old ford galaxy. Two doors and the wing wrecked

Wow!! That's some going!

I have a car one. My kids, 7 and 9, using the roof of my new partners Ford Escort as a trampoline. We were not popular for a while

girlygirly · 23/08/2023 20:24

Son, 18th birthday, got totally pissed and 'mistook' the living room carpet for the toilet, shit everywhere.

We didn't even attempt to clean it up, pulled up the whole thing, binned it and he had to pay for hardwood flooring. He doesn't now drink any alcohol...

Youngest son smashed kitchen window in house we were moving into by kicking a ball. Hadn't even unpacked!

StrawberryWater · 23/08/2023 20:25

Broke my iMac.

Haven’t been able to replace it due to finances. 😔 I’m still angry about it.

rosesinmygarden · 23/08/2023 18:55

Drew round every bit of the intricate pattern on our cream sofa with a fineline sharpie.

I wasn't sure whether to be angry or really impressed with their fine motor control!

We'd had the sofa for years before children. Our next one was a dark colour!

This sounds v stylish and Banksyesque.

I'd buy one, probably.

Whitewolf2 · 23/08/2023 20:26

Dd 6 was going through a gymnastics phase, did a pull up on the marble fireplace and pulled the mantle right off onto herself, chipped the edges off and had to have it glued back on by a stonemason.
Given it could have crushed dd though we got off lightly! We were lucky I was in the room and could drag it off her straightaway.
