Personally I think it's fine. It largely depends on the bride tbh!

Since the dress isn't bridal and can't be confused for a wedding dress, I think it is fine. You can also dress up with colourful accessories etc.

Though some brides are very anti-anything white/cream/ivory etc

EvilElsa · 15/08/2023 16:54

I'd say it's fine (but I wouldn't have given a shit what anyone wore to my wedding, even white). It may be a little on the short side for a church wedding depending on how tall you are.

TheFlis12345 · 15/08/2023 16:56

I would be less concerned around the colour than the length!

WaitingfortheTardis · 15/08/2023 16:56

It is quite white, but that doesn't bother everyone. I'd be more worried that it looks a bit casual for a wedding, it looks more of a summer dress than for an occasion.

Feelingss · 15/08/2023 16:56

I'm very short so the length isn't an issue!

Honestly no it's not appropriate for a wedding to white to short unless you a tween child then maybe

FlamingoSunshine · 15/08/2023 17:01

If the length is not too short on you then it’s fine

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 15/08/2023 17:02

I wouldn’t… it’s VERY white

Letitgonowgr · 15/08/2023 17:05

I think it’s perfect! Flowery, summery and pretty. I’d wear bright coloured shoes and bag and bangles etc!

greengrassed · 15/08/2023 17:06

It's perfect

JenniferBarkley · 15/08/2023 17:10

I think it's too informal.

Feelingss · 15/08/2023 17:11

For reference, I'm 7 inches shorter than the model so it's just above my knees! Very mixed responses here...

Rainbowshit · 15/08/2023 17:12

No. Too casual.

saltinesandcoffeecups · 15/08/2023 17:13

I think it reads too white. But that’s my opinion. I’m not worried about length… so I’d go for a different color same rough style.

To wear this to a wedding?
To wear this to a wedding?
cruffinsmuffin · 15/08/2023 17:13

I think that the lovely flowery detail might be lost at a distance / on photos - it might look very white from a distance but only when closer look flowery. It's more white than anything else!

Imo if you have to ask if it's too white then it probably is.

pinkyredrose · 15/08/2023 17:16

It's gorgeous, wear it!

Conqueeftador · 15/08/2023 17:16

Too white, too short.

MysteryBelle · 15/08/2023 17:16

I think it’s an adorable dress and you say the length is appropriate as you’re several inches shorter than model, then yes, I think it’s fine for even a church wedding. It has a white background but lots of color, I think it’s fine. If you have doubts, there are similar dresses on that site with pale blue or pastel colors as the background. That would completely put your mind at ease.

MysteryBelle · 15/08/2023 17:18

I just looked at it again. I think it is too white. A lot of white there. Maybe choose a similar dress with a background color that is not white.

ComtesseDeSpair · 15/08/2023 17:19

I think it’s fine. Nobody’s going to confuse a woman in a knee-length cotton dress with little flowers on it for the bride. Dress it up with some accessories to accent the colours of the flowers, it’ll look great.

bananaboats · 15/08/2023 17:20

It looks very casual for a wedding

tootyflooty · 15/08/2023 17:21

Very pretty dress , and in my opinion perfect for a wedding, given you are shorter than the model it will be a nice lenght. I really don't hold with all the etiquette on dress colour, some friends at my wedding commented that another friend wore a cream/Ivory dress, until this comment I had no idea on the colour thing, and frankly didn't give a hoot, maybe you could brighten it up with accesories, but think it will be lovely either way.

UpsidedownCakes · 15/08/2023 17:29

Letitgonowgr · 15/08/2023 17:05

Same!

Clefable · 15/08/2023 17:32

I think it's lovely and absolutely fine. It's a floral dress, not bridal in the least. And it's summer, people want to wear light colours anyway.

Ohhhhhhhhh · 15/08/2023 17:32

I always think best to err on the side of caution and not wear white. Maybe the bride won't care but maybe she will so why risk it? There are millions of other dresses to chose from
