The recent pictures of Daniela Westbrook has attracted a lot of negative comments. I can’t help but feeling sorry for someone who clearly has had issues to deal with throughout her life.

Do you find it is rude to say she looks awful?

Thank you for sharing this video. I've watched it in its entirety and I'm totally in awe of DW. I have utter respect for her and admire her tenacity in bouncing back after such adversity. Very humbling. I wish her a continuing positive recovery and future good fortune ❤️

She does look awful, and surely she knows that. I kind of think she must have really thick skin to put herself out there like that. She’s obviously selling herself to the press and knows what the comments are going to be like, but still she continues.

I feel so sorry for this woman. She was a very pretty young lady with a promising career, and now just look at her. It must hurt her to see herself in the mirror.

She makes money from OnlyFans and selling pap shots to the papers. She has no contact with her daughter and her son is also an addict. She became a born again Christian for a while and seemed to turn her life around, but then the addiction took her away.

It's a tragedy. I hope she finds peace.

Those photos looked like they've been altered to make her look worse than she actually does.
I know her nose has collapsed but that's not the face or neck of a 49 year old.

What do you think actors do in between acting work? Non acting jobs obviously!

I'm always very sceptical about these pap photos that make perfectly reasonable women look like ancient scarecrows. I'm sure she'd look fine face to face and she's got a figure to die for.

I'm a professional photographer, those picture were taken under strong sunlight, it's the most unflattering lighting because it gives you very contrasty hard shadows on the face, it accentuates wrinkles, bad skin and makes you look much older. No photographer worth his/her salts takes a portrait in direct sunlight like this because we know it's extremely unflattering. Whoever shot those pictures knew exactly what they were doing.

Yes but there's a generational split. Most aspiring or "resting" actors are young (look at Spotlight books, the section for age 18-25 is like five times thicker than the section for 45+) and actors in their teens or twenties tend to do temping or stuff like retail, barista, or waiting tables. A lot of young actors work in theatres doing FOH work, and theatres like to hire actors for those jobs. If you're 20-something, physically fit and healthy and have lots of energy, it's not that hard to find casual work to fit around auditions.

Acting has a very high dropout rate, most people who don't 'make it' end up quitting and doing something else. Actors who are still acting in their 40s or older (without having "made it") tend to either be financially supported by a spouse, or have found an alternate stable income. A lot of older actors teach, for example. Some get qualifications and do a "proper job" (I know one 60-something actor who's a qualified and in-demand bookkeeper). Some make good money from stuff like audio books.

None of those things are really practical options for a nearly 50yr old with health problems and a substance abuse problem.

I watched her interview just now. She’s been through a lot and I feel for her. Maybe it’s her character but I sort of get the feeling she’s proud of having been to rehab so many times and overdosing etc. But she was treated appallingly as a child model and I think that set her on a slippery slope.

In her interview she says she has to work, has to sell stories so that’s what she does. She says she knows how to work the media.

She’d love to be back on eastenders but they’ll never have her and any other acting work looks highly unlikely. She is into reiki and meditation etc which is great.

If these pics were taken without her knowledge or approval, I’d have sympathy, bu5 most of the pictures are clearly staged, and I honestly think she actually doesn’t feel she looks that bad. She has tons of confidence the way she carries herself, and seems to have no shortage of boyfriends, even though they never go long term.

Absolutely no sympathy. She wants to be photographed for the money. She’s hardly shy if she’s on Only Fans.

As a fellow child abuse and rape victim, abuse and trauma may be a factor in addiction but it’s not an excuse. Plenty of addicts don’t even have that background, they just like taking drugs above all else and don’t want to put the effort in to stop. Plenty of abuse and trauma victims don’t do drugs to the extent she has either.

She took coke while pregnant with her son apparently and he gave an interview about finding her coked out at age 4. Her daughter was raised with her Dad and I think she said that they weren’t in contact for a many years.

She was kicked out of EastEnders and lost her career for drug taking wasn’t she? Surely that would have been a kick up the arse but even having children wasn’t it seems!

She’s utter trash IMO. There are people who struggle all their lives and don’t do what she does. Her DC are also seeing these fake balloon boobed, eating donuts on all fours, finger licking pictures. Absolutely gross and that’s not got anything to do with her face.

Surely if she’s got health and mental issues she could claim disability benefits, get treatment for her issues on the NHS and live quietly out of the public eye but of course she wouldn’t be able to get boob jobs, holidays abroad (and more drugs) I suppose.

Nope she could be a poster girl for a modern version of just say no!

The Daily mirror and the sun would go bankrupt if women with mental health issues would get treatment for their issues on the NHS, move to a cottage and "live a quiet life", they need people like her, and guess who buys/reads the Daily mirror and the Sun? Half of the people on this thread. We're all complicit on this shyteshow because we love to watch "car crashes". Katie price is another car crash we love, fact is she's had the longest thread on MN ever, women on this forum seem to not get enough of KP. Car crashes sell very well.

Disgusting of them to photoshop these photos but as Danniela says she knows the night before when these photos are going to run so presumably knows how they’ve been doctored.

Her hair doesn’t suit her that colour at all though nor that style.

I was watching her video and when she pulls her hair back off her face which she does a few times you can see that she still is or was an attractive woman. Can’t deny she’s damaged her face in other ways and no idea of what plastic surgery she’s had done though.

I don't think they've been photoshopped. Too much sunbathing over a lifetime can do that to the skin- also substance abuse etc. The pics are also in bright sunlight which can be unflattering, and fairly close up.

Any pics she posts of herself I expect will be photoshopped unless she's too out of it to do it.

It's not so much how she looks it's how she acts and dresses. She must still be on something now?
