Update - too large for flight

I posted a few weeks ago about how worried I was about fitting in the seat on the plane on our family holiday. Half of the people who replied were lovely with real life stories and practical advice. Half were really cruel and horrible. Mumsnet removed the thread due to how horrible it got. To remind everyone I am a size 24.
Well we have just returned from the most wonderful holiday in Crete. There were NO issues on the flight, other than needing a seat belt extension. We flew with Easyjet. The seats were spacious and comfy and the table in front came down completely flat. It was such a relief. Thank you to all who gave helpful advice.

So happy it worked out but you can not convince me that the seat was 'spacious '!!! Even when I was a size 12-14 they are uncomfortable and restrictive (I do have long legs though and feel jammed in).
But so happy you had a good flight!

it is really horrible how people treat larger people in regards to flights. My dad and mum are large so I always think people might abuse them if they go abroad.

I will just say though, to the pp claiming the tray tables are always fine, they not for me because I carry pretty much all my weight on my stomach.

Yes, Jet2 are lovely and roomy 😄 I’m a size 24 and don’t need an extension with them.

Great tip I have never flown Jet2 but just saw they fly to Faro which is where we have a holiday booked next year.

They are a great airline, enjoy 😊.

Agree that jet2 are spacious surprisingly!

I'm surprised the tray came down. A couple of years ago I was a size 20 and couldn't get the tray fully down although I didn't need an seatbelt extender.
