"If they don't like barges they should fuck off back to France". 30p Lee Anderson of course, not the BNP. Not the National Front or whatever their current name is. The Chairman of the Conservative Party. Supporters must be so proud. What a statesman. So Churchillian.

Btw if anyone fancies a read, Politico has a good article about how the Tories have lost their electoral base and wipeout beckons. That is the loss of true blue seats who do not like the current direction and the Tory MPs affected.

For those that are worried about the cost of living genuinely why would they vote for Labour where they are guaranteed higher taxes and bills??

At least the conservatives are likely to slash them as soon as possible.

And probably more hair brained schemes like fuckingfuming suggested like increasing the living standards everywhere in the world.

It beggars belief.

Hair brained scheme ? I mean ideally what we could’ve done it is not robbed and pillaged these companies in the first place.. second plan might of been to return the wealth to them, but that’s not palatable either it seems ?
There’s nothing hair brained about acknowledging that where you fell out of a vagina should not determine the quality of life that you lead. And the fact of the matter is, there’s more of these people than there are of “us” for want of a better description.
And they’re not very happy that they’re starving and their homes have been destroyed whilst we’re piss asking about in Q7 to do ghe school run causing it. At some point they’re going to take some quite serious action about.
And that may involve killing you.

Alternatively we could just equal things out a little bit more and everyone be happy.

Politico is an EU sponsored news outlet, and they are desperate for labour to win so thar that they can overturn the brexit result and try and take us back into the EU.

I thought you knew this.

Thanks for pointing to that. It does agree with my assessment of the likely voting intentions of the traditional Tory base.

How Britain’s Tories lost their electoral base

Potential wipeout looms for Sunak after years of chaos under Johnson and Truss.

It's also sometimes sponsored by BP, investment firms and people who make actual money.

And this article quotes several Tory MPs. Are they all in the EU's pocket?

It would be far more sensible to spend it on fast tracking processing and integrating successful applicants quickly so they can start working and paying taxes.

This. And we also aren’t paying bed and board for years for people who ultimately don’t qualify for refugee status.

How many people will apply?

Maybe you should read the article and see what Tory MPs, including cabinet ministers, are saying.

Where have I claimed we will be immune to ‘food systems and supply chains’ issues?

As for displacement other countries keeping us out and us letting people in isn’t going to do much

You keep going on about how the UK needs to get control of it's borders before the hordes, displaced byclimate change, rock up on the coasts of Europe and attempt to cross then channel into the promise lands of the UK.

I'm just pointing out that the impacts of mass displacement are global, as are the impacts of climate change. It might be us who need the charity and goodwill of others, so it's probably best not to turn our backs on people in their time of need less we want the same trearment in return.

Can we also just clarify that you are aware that the tories allowed over 1,200,000 people to move here legally last year?

I know certain people like to get all het up about "boat people" but they only account for about 3-4% migration. Seems odd for people so concerned about the impacts of immigration to focus their energy on such a small part of the issue.

Which diamond mind should lead us? I mean it's hard to choose, Jenrick or Johnson. Since they don't agree with whether the government they serve is succeeding or failing, I would say that was pretty dim.

I don’t think I’ve posted against working visas anywhere.

Yes I think it will get worse, not just here but across the Med. There’s no streamlined and easy way to deal with it, without citizens pushing back.

Someone mentioned politico in pp there’s an article about shift to right in EU, there’s already increased disquiet and it won’t get easier. It’s only the start but it’s already beginning to show.

Bah. 20 points behind. How much trouble do Labour need if the Conservatives fight and don't have a proper line on something that they have decided is key for the next election?
