50 years old, and i bought a Sindy house.
I was desperate for a Sindy house as a child and never had one. I saw an immaculate one on Ebay with every wonder you can imagine inside it.
Oh, the joy of the tiny salt and pepper. The detail in the teeny knives, etc.
What toy were you desperate for, and did you ever get it.

I know it's not a toy but all I ever asked for was a dog and, due to lots of reasons, never got one growing up. I have my lovely wee furry bestie now. He was totally worth the wait!

My sister always desperately wanted a stretch Armstrong as a child. I got her one for her 30th.

I also love Lego, I wasn't allowed to play with my brothers Lego or mechanix (he didn't get knock offs, his was all the real stuff) . I always thought it was very unfair. I retaliated by regularly stealing his Action Man to take my knock off 'Cindy' to the ball.

Now they do grown up lego - I have it all.

My sister and I had a Sindy house..kept it all these years and now my DD has it. Love that it’s been passed on 30+ years later and it was second hand when we got it!
I always wanted a Mr Frosty but my understanding is that they don’t actually work very well?

My mum never let me have Mr Frosty saying it would be rubbish, i was so mad, my mother in law then bought my daughter one a couple of years ago, it is CRAP! Hate to admit it but mum was right. It barely does anything and requires more strength than a kid has. Urgh, now cluttering up my cupboard.

I re-bought my old my little pony collection slowly from eBay a few years ago after giving them away in my teens. They now get played with by my own kids but mostly just being me joy living on their shelf. and I’m mid-40’s 😁

Oh I had a Sindy house! But I never had an etch a sketch so I hopefully took DHs when we cleared his mum's house! And no, I never let my kids play with it 😂

I'm another one who continually asked for a sindy doll and the house . I never got any of it . My brother was bought everything he wanted cos he was a boy . I resented it forever and still do . Send pics of doll houses .

My friend has recollected all the Pippa dolls we had when we were growing up from eBay over the past few years. I bought myself a big rocking horse when I turned 50 as my parents chucked mine out when I was a teenager and I never forgave them for it

When I was little I took a Strawberry Shortcake doll EVERYWHERE with me (in a jelly bag!). So very 80s.

This thread has tempted me to buy one (mother confessed the smell was driving her mad and after putting up with it for a few years she binned it!).

Aww, lovely. Agree we need photos urgently. Hope you enjoy it. I'd love to have mine again and some of the dolls and bits of Lego 😂 . It would be so therapeutic! I'd do the same if I lived on my own and would have it all out, up in the attic 😂

As a kid,I loved my little pony

Long story involving my narcissistic mother,I only had 4-and one was a fake

2 where hand me downs,one a present and not sure of the 3rd

I grew up,had kids of my own and they didn't bother with them

Then,with my limited IT skills,I opened an eBay account

Now I own all the ponies I didn't have as a child-and the ones I did have (they where put in a skip when I was 14-i loved those ponies)

I also own a stable and a nursery

I don't play with them but just knowing they are upstairs on my bookshelf makes me very happy

Mr frosty WAS crap-my brother got it-im still looking for jem and the hollograms/the barbie I did have (this was the 80's and she was from the 60's/70's) and a lights alive (I loved my lights alive)

I've made my children promise that when I die,the while lot is to be donated to a museum

Good for you.

Just remembered my Jem came with a cassette tape featuring a song titled Takin it all. It was bangin' 😂

I'll get some pics for you all shortly. I don't have the space for it, and it's currently squashed between a dining chair and living room sofa but it stays. The iddy biddy eggs in the fridge are beyond cute. Hold fire for pics.

Aah this is lovely. When I was a kid I really wanted a care bear. I had loads of toys but never a care bear. My 10 yr old DD used her own money to buy me a cheer bear for Mother's Day 🥰 and it sits on my bed and yes I do sometimes cuddle it in my sleep 😬

Oh bless her, how sweet is she!
