For me it’s BBC’s 1995 Pride and Prejudice. Absolute perfection, I wouldn’t change a thing!

OP posts:

The original Darling Buds of May!

MissBattleaxe · 28/07/2023 22:25

@Dunnoburt I totally agree about Darling Buds!

Franticbutterfly · 28/07/2023 22:25

Pride and prejudice definitely. Also the Last Kingdom, Poldark and Slow Horses.

The Last Kingdom was incredible! How did I miss that off my list?

Phopet · 28/07/2023 22:29

Without a shadow of a doubt it has to be
The X Files
but also…
Gilmore Girls
This is England
Peep show
Gavin and Stacey
ER
Succession

UserRose · 28/07/2023 22:29

Dexter
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
Suits
West Wing
The Americans
Mad Men

but best of all Ted Lasso have watched it 4 times and only came across it this year 😂

Harryyourenogoodalone · 28/07/2023 22:33

Gavin and Stacey
Cold Feet
It's a Sin
Happy Valley

Tangled123 · 28/07/2023 22:39

Travelers on Netflix is my favourite TV series ever. The most recent season of Stranger Things and House of the Dragon are fantastic too though

pigalow27 · 28/07/2023 22:42

Our Friends in the North
Fleabag
Brideshead Revisited

Shiftingparadigm · 28/07/2023 22:45

Detectorists.

I loved Red Dwarf 1-6, but it wasn't as good after series 6 so can't add that.

Shiftingparadigm · 28/07/2023 22:48

Yes agree about Slow Horses. It's a weird balance of humour and drama. Its weirdly comforting but dark at the same time. Gary Oldman is brilliant in it.

Revenge

So true 😊😊

Hawkins0001 · 28/07/2023 23:07

Game of thrones was intriguing but they seemed to be looking at a sequel or spin-off as the way the dragon took the queen, they could of easily brought her back to life.

montysma1 · 28/07/2023 23:08

1980 Pride and Predudice.

Anne of Green Gables (the one with Megan Follows as Anne).

CinnamonJellyBeans · 28/07/2023 23:09

Schitt's Creek and Malcolm in the middle

Nowdontmakeamess · 28/07/2023 23:26

I agree with so many of these being brilliant series but Pride & Prejudice is the only one I re-watch as a yearly treat.

viques · 28/07/2023 23:28

Ladhood was brilliant.

ginghamstarfish · 28/07/2023 23:39

As I read the title I also thought of Pride and Prejudice, which I've just watched for the umpteenth time. Perfection.

MargretGotWood · 28/07/2023 23:44

Season one of Les Revenants

Deadringer · 28/07/2023 23:46
